Well, the New Year is 12 minutes away here.

Anyone want to put out some of their predictions, on any subject, for the New Year ahead? Maybe we can revisit this thread a year from now and see what, if any of our predictions, came true.

For Airliners.net:

B747-437B will be banned 27 times.
AA61hvy will be banned from every buffet in the Metroplex.
KROC's Respect Rating will keep plummeting.
Singapore_Air will stay stuck on 9999 posts until March.
I will reach 7000 posts by the end of the year. (And hopefully my record of having not been suspended or banned will stay intact as well.  Smokin cool )
There will be yet another aborted attempt at an NYC meetup.
There will be 173 Peter Max threads.
There will be 187 anti-Southwest Airlines threads.
There will be 137 NW DC-9 replacement threads.
There will be 96 "Next JetBlue city?" threads.
There will be 4 "A380 crashes on test flight" threads.
There will be 3 "US Airways files CH. 7" threads.
There will be 37 "_____ to move into old US Airways gates @ ___" threads.

As for the real world:

V.P. Cheney will resign for health reasons after a major heart attack (one in which he dies on the table and is revived.).

Former Secretary of State Colin Powell named V.P.

Sec. of Defense Rumsfeld will be forced to resign following another P.O.W. abuse scandal.

Howard Dean named Chairman of the Democratic National Committee and pledges to return the Democrats back into power by the 2008 elections. Shortly thereafter, Mike Judge gets an injunction to prevent Dean from screaming like Beavis ever again.

Bill Clinton caught in an affair yet again. Hillary finally says "enough is enough" and seeks a divorce, effectively killing her political career.

In the UK, PM Tony Blair will face a no-confidence vote, and as a result of the closeness in which he survives, announces his resignation. The Labour Party, revitalized by this resignation maintain their hold in the House of Commons, with the Tories losing several seats to political unknowns from other parties.

Wal-Mart sees sales decline as the "Boycott Wal-Mart" movement gets a major shot in the arm with the denial by local governments in many major metro areas of permits to build Supercenters in urban areas. Wal-Mart will also become the target of a Dept. Of Justice and a Federal Trade Commission investigation into possible monopolistic tactics.

Microsoft announces that the next version of Windows (Longhorn) will be delayed for two more years. Windows XP will see yet another Service Pack by the Fall as yet more security issues emerge (And more people switch to Apple as a result).

Lindows-based computers will start impacting Windows P.C. sales as some retailers start selling them for $99.

The Apple Ipod will see a drop in sales after a new entrant into the market will offer a player with double the hard drive space for half of the price and with more features.

Several cities and states in the USA will ban the sale or rental of GTASA as the result of GTASA-related or influenced violence. Congress steps in and tries to pass a new video-game law that would effective ban all "M" rated games. The measure fails as the bill smacks of stiffling 1st Amendment rights.

There will be a show on HBO that goes behind the scenes at a Nevada brothel. As a result, the FCC tightens the regulation of the cable networks, effectively clamping down on some of the cable networks best shows.

Air America will launch a cable network with programming featuring their personalities. The only outlets willing to add the network are satellite providers.
