Gay Character Revealed In Simpsons. Any Time Soon?

I remember there was a rumour last summer that sometime around New year, at the start of 2005, one of the characters in the Simpsons would come out of the closet. there have even been online polls on who people think is the one to reveal that he/she/it is gay.

But does anyone know when this character is revealed?

My bet is that Smithers is far too obvious. So I'm guessing Patty.  Smile

Right. "Homer Sexual" is too obvious also.

My guess is Todd Flanders.

Why not Bart's dog? Though if "Santa's Little Helper" is really what it's called in English, that'd also be too obvious.

Wasn't there an episode were they showed how are all Simpsons characters are doing in ~20 years? I guess the episode was about Lisa's wedding or something like that and they showed that both of Flanders' sons are gay.

Yeah, Smithers is already out. Remember he said "seamen" and women don't mix?

Rod & Todd were shown in tight shorts and tank tops with moustaches, as mentioned by Patrick.

That said, Krusty and Apu doin' the deed would probably get good ratings.

I seem to recall reading in Maxim that they'd confirmed it was one of Marge's sisters, who "marries" another woman.

There've been hints throughout the years about many characters; mostly one of Marge's sisters, the Flanders children, etc... but the only two directly confirmed (in the present) have been Smithers and to my knowledge.

Also, Homer is to die in 2005-- but it'll only be temporary.

Eh, I thought it was pretty common knowledge that it is Pat Bouvier that is going to come out of the closet - and with a female golfer too, IIRC Big grin

Troy Maclure did he not marry one of Marge's sister for a brief period?

Yeah, Smithers is out. The man has got the hotz for Burns real bad! Ever catch a glimpse at his computer (heh heh)

One of Marge's sisters wouldn't surprise me.

And Martina Navratilova would be the voice of the female golfer, eh? (heh heh)

The Flanders boys?? HA!! I think they'd both run and hide if confronted with any type of sexual advances.

Luv2Fly,
indeed he did - though I think it was Selma. His carreer had taken a dive and his PR guy told him that a marriage (and child) would revitalize it.

There was an episode where Bart admitted to Homer that he liked Millhouse as more than a friend. It was played out quickly, so I'm not sure many people picked up on it.
