Canada kicked ass! 6-1 victory over the Russians to win Gold at the World Hockey Junior Championships! This is the first time Canada has done so since 1997.

it's nice to see that hockey still exists in some shape, form, or fashion. We all know the NHL has pretty much used up all its goodwill, so I'm glad there's still some quality hockey being played somewhere.

Actually, because of the NHL strike they now show Swedish Elite league games here. Right now they're showing a game between Modo and Lulea. The advertisements in the face-off circles look weird.
