Here in the south where we usually have mild winters, temperatures have plummeted to a whopping 9 degrees Farentheit. For us in the south, we will stop having sex until the temperatures rise and our...well....drop back down. Here in OKC, we started last night with moderate rain, then the temperature dropped today and we had a fairly significant ice storm for our area. Roads are all to hell, and schools have been closed. With tonight's temperature of 9, we are supposed to have extremely icy conditions tomorrow. Give me snow, but leave the ice, especially in a rear-wheel-drive car that I have.

Just the opposite here in Pittsburgh. All the snow has been to the west, south, and right now the north. I for one LOVE snow, and it being 60 in January here really sucks!! In fact, for the last few weeks we've got nothing but rain and it's been in the 50's and 60's. We'd have 10 feet of snow by now if the temps were normal.

I hasn't been any colder than normal in Jan., but the big storm sweeping Central USA with sleet and snow is pounding us. Above 10,000' its warm, and down here its below freezing. The snow turns to rain up high, then freezes when it hits the ground. Nasty mess. Everything is coated with ice. It finally turned to snow tonight though, but already delays have been announced for the school children for tomorrow. I'm guessing they'll close schools again.

At or below freezing overnight this week in the Seattle area. I hate the bitter cold, but it beats having snow and ice on the ground. Of course, that's forecasted possibly for tomorrow or Friday. Great.

It has been about 40F and sunny in PDX the last few days but the wind has been so freakin' cold! They say we may get snow in the hills around PDX but nothing in the city. I'm crossing my fingers over that one...

Just finished putting on my old HP ramp rat parka (that thing is super warm!) and going out to shovel the driveway and brush snow off my gf's car before she went to work. Pretty damn cold and the snows not letting up until mid-morning Thursday. God I hate Chicago winters.

Welcome to Canada.. Where Ass Freezing Cold is the norm for the first/latter quarter of the year. Here in Calgary temperatures are sitting at -25 and that is pretty cold to sleep at night.
Few hours to the East is a city called Regina, last night it dipped to a bone chilling -51 Celsius!! The city was paralyzed the next morning as everything froze, Power, cars, Human Hair, Schools, and urgent warnings bulletined throughout the city. I feel for THOSE few hundred thousand folks.

Was very warm the past week in Anchorage. Lost a lot of our snow cover and it is really screwing up the dog mushers.
But it has now cleared up so hopefully it will get more seasonal shortly.

Here in eastern Ohio, about 60 miles SW of PIT, lots of rain...in fact a lot of flooding right now. This winter has been wacky so far...50's and 60's, and the reports say it'll be at least until a week from Saturday before we start getting more winter-like weather. North of us, near Lake Erie, though, they're having snow and ice.
Ual747, I hear you about the ice! That is the absolute worst. We get it here a lot, and it's no fun at all! I'm not complaining about the mild weather at all! I like winter, and I'm sure we'll still get our share, but this is nice right now.

We got lots of snow so look out to the east! ALO was closed last night along with numerous other smaller airports. DSM was down to one runway and two taxiways. We had 14" here with some places reporting up to 18". This will take a while to dig out of!

Well, here on the Arctic Ocean it's been a balmy +15 all week! Unbelieveable weather. Now, if this 35mph wind will just lay down, I'll be back in Anchorage tonight!

It's Ohio of course its freezing, but on this day I'm not complaining as it has led to a snow day, and one so badly needed, as I am (well was before those 13 hours of sleep) totaly exhausted.

Here in MKE its not that cold right now, about 20 F. We also finally got some snow. Heaviest of it came after midnight and I got a snow day for once even though the roads were not that bad. O well, heck with scool I had fun sledding today! MKE handled the snow pretty good and there weren't many delays or cancellations.
