South Carolina - too small to be its own country, too big to be a mental asylum.

I remember there was this one Kennedy woman at Ahhhnold's inauguration who looked like she'd already been dead 10yrs... but can't recall her name.

Started with an "I"?

...I don't think it's this one, but wanted to double-check for sure. Anyone?

Definitely not this one, CB. This was the one that was mentally retarded and who had a lobotomy and was institutionalized afterwards for the rest of her life.

Could be Ethel Kennedy you are thinking of, ConcordeBoy. Just a guess, though.

This poor woman suffered from nothing more than mild retardation and yet as the daughter of Joe Kennedy because she did not meet his exacting standards she was forced to have a risky experimental lobotomy which left her far worse off. Some doctors have since said she was not retarded at all, but merely behaviourly affected.

Her situation is testament to Joe Kennedy's cut throat approach to all things in his life. She is the living embodiment of his heartlessless and ruthlessness.

Shame on Joe Kennedy.

I know who you mean. That would be Eunice Kennedy, Ahhhnold's Moth-in-law. She looks like hell. Maria is starting to age badly also.

Panam, TWA, Ansett, Eastern.......AC next? Might be good for Canada.

Eunice has been taking care of her husband, Sargent Shriver who has been in and out of dementia from Alzheimers. She is no spring chicken and this has to be taking its toll on her appearance, along with her natural tendency toward thinness (gauntness).

I'm no Kennedy fan (especially Joe "prolong prohibition so I can keep bootlegging for the mob" Sr. and Teddy "let her drown" Kennedy) (Joe jr. died a hero, though) but I feel badly for anyone who has to take care of that situation with a loved one.

Rosemary Kennedy should be in a better place now. RIP.

You are thinking of Eunice Shriver, Maria's mother. Not a very nice thing to say, but I knew exactly who you meant.  Smile

Blank.
