I went and got my new passport pics done today, and I learned that they've changed all the rules for photos. Under the new guidelines, you're not allowed to smile or show any facial expression as it apparently "distorts" your face.
I look pretty miserable in my pic and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Will Canadian passports hit an all-time high ugly-factor? Have all countries made these changes recently?

As Erma Bombeck once titled a book: "When you look like your passport picture, its time to go home!" Quite accurate.

mine (my US passport) was taken the day I got out of the hospital and had lost 70 lbs. I look like I'm stoned and about to fall over. (my earlier pic had been rejected because light reflected off the glasses and made my face look yellow)...I have a new Canadian passport too that ain't much better.

LOL...
Andreas: I was just joking. You're the exception to the rule. Mark: I wasn't joking. I'll meet you by the fence at recess and beat you up...don't think Jordan's going to come to your rescue either! Kev: Not bloody likely. The internet is the LAST place I want that picture ending up.
Nuno: Wether you like it or not, you've been appointed Social Director for the YYZ meets. Anything special happening at YYZ in the near future?

Ya !.... I'm with George on this one.
Nuno, lets get something going for the near future. Lets get a Skyservice van and cruise the town. Hit all the good spotting areas and then do the Keg for a slab of beef and beverages.
mmmm....Jet A and bloodied beef.
Oh, George, did you go to SA recently?...if so, how was it ...trip report?

Haven't left for SA yet.....6 more weeks to go!!!
You can count on a full trip report...(Of course, with that passport pic of mine, some customs people may not let me in to another country!!!)
I won't be able to post any pics until I get back, but I'll be sending emails with pics to friends while I'm away. If anyone wants to see them, let me know your email address and I'll add you to the dist list if you like.
I also have my first Westjet flight coming up in a few weeks for the really long trek to Ottawa. Woo Hoo Westjet!

I had my passport pics rejected because of "shadows". So I had to get them retaken and line up again. I think it was a scam to funnel business to the photographer on the ground floor. Never trust government (or govt workers).
Come on Nuno...do what you do best and get a huge gathering together
Yup. Nuno is organizing one as we speak. I can feel it.
Panam, TWA, Ansett, Eastern.......AC next? Might be good for Canada.

LOL, you guys are too much! Well ... I'd rather organize a spotting get-together somewhere warm in February! I have too much work during the beginning and end of February anyways, but hopefully I can get away after that. I'm up for another spotting get-together, perhaps in May when things warm up again?
Speaking of passport photos, I had mine done a few months ago, and it was truly brutal. The silliness of the whole ordeal made me want to crack up every time they took the damn photo, combined with the funny looking Walmart staff and customers, I couldn't help myself!

25 CaptainGomes: OMG Walmart does passports now? What next No no no, they do the pictures! I like going to Walmart once in a while. If I'm feeling down, all I have to
26 Yyz717: Dog food. Walmart's good for dogfood. There's no Walmart downtown. Just as well.
27 Cessnapimp: Walmart is great! Tons o'stuff on special, DVD players that catch on fire for $29.99. The scenery is great too. Like that old jumper-suit hag arguing
28 YooYoo: Nuno, If I'm feeling down, all I have to do is go to Walmart and feel much better about myself. hehe ...so you mean, that by watching "me" shop at Wal
29 CaptainGomes: All I have to say about that is...... At least I don't eat at ZET'S !!! Of course, you eat at the Walmart McDonald's!
30 WhyWhyZed: HEY! Don't be dissing McDonald's!! Though they are very unhealthy...you gotta love a nice big mac once inawhile... Although they aren't all that big a
32 YooYoo: Kris, I can and will diss Zet's. I think Zet's is Albanian for urine. They cook and clean everything in urine. Possibly the worst food I have ever eat
33 CaptainGomes: I still think Nuno owes me a dinner for recommending Zets to me. How about Mendy's? You can have the soup!
34 CaptainGomes: Yup. Nuno is organizing one as we speak. I can feel it Neil, I hate you. I had nothing in the works, and now magically I think something just might ha
35 YooYoo: Nuno... .....soups not a meal. Last week in January ?.....so where's the thread ? Andreas
36 CaptainGomes: There might be a thread once things are finalized, but I'm waiting for somebody else to start it (but this time I hope I'm not volunteered by others t
37 Canuckpaxguy: Sorry Nuno, I think it was me who started the nomination process for you. I'd offer to help, but I'm not really sure what involved besides saying "Mee
38 CaptainGomes: Well George, it's actually not you, lol. However, a YYZ spotting extravaganza will only be held on the last weekend of January if you decide you will
39 WhyWhyZed: Urgh... That's a bad weekend for me. Unless it changes... I can't go! The next weekend and on (Feb 5+) is the best for me. - Jason DePodesta
40 Yyz717: Maybe if there's a snowstorm that weekend, we'll get to spot the ENTIRE Jetsgo fleet all stuck at YYZ going nowhere. Zet's is a greasy fast food place
41 YooYoo: Still waiting......... NUNO !! Don't listen to YooYoo, he's a bit of a, well, a yooyoo! You started it.... I need a ride....can anybody help me?.....I
42 Canuckpaxguy: Ok Nuno, tell you what... -> I'll stay for longer than 5 minutes and will help where I can if you start the ball rolling. I'll even get you a Timmy's
43 YooYoo: I'll also load up on some Clearasil pads and hand them out at the a.net meet if we go to Zet's. ....I'll wait for you guys in the parking lot, or bett
44 Airlinerfreak: Yet at the same time you guys are talking about how the Canadians are the most beautiful people
45 Canuckpaxguy: Airliner, If you come to the YYZ meet, I'll bring you a sense of humour. G

47 CaptainGomes: HA! Well ... I will get the ball rolling when I hear from the out-of-towners who are thinking of gracing us with their presence. They're about as ugly
48 YooYoo: ...Thank god i live in Whitby !! And what out of towners do you think might come, Mr. Nuno ? Andreas
49 CaptainGomes: It's up to said out-of-towners to reveal their identities, or tell me for sure that they are coming. 29th is the arrival date, so let's wait and see.
