To go along with the favorite beer thread. I am finding myself more likely to enjoy a hard lemonade these days, especially as it gets warmer. What is your favorite kind?

Mine is Mike's Hard Lemonade, but should I be taking a trip to Canada, I will deffinatly get some Dave's Spiked Lemonade.

I've never even heard of it. I see you live in Rochester, NY. I'm visiting my friend there in July so maybe I'll have to seek some out when I go. Last time I visited we got a white hot dog. She also says there is some kind of custard or something that is really good?

SophieMaltese, the Custard you speak of is Abbott's. Its a local thing, but very good.

As for Hard Lemonade, it is lemonade with alcohol in it, and it is not limited to Rochester NY. Some various types are Mike's hard lemonade, Ricks hard lemonade, Doc Otis, and so on. Its along the lines of hard cider and such.

I really dont care for it, I really dont like he taste of it. For some reason it doesnt even seem like a variant of lemonade, it has a totally different taste. But if it was the last stuff on the earth, i would drink it.

I avoid the stuff these days. It makes you puke too soon. Its OK for two bottles at a time at the most...but don't try to get drunk off the stuff.

I drank the cranberry stuff and puked purple  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Sophie, have your friend take you for a "Garbage Plate" while you're here. It's better than it sounds...barely

Wash it down with a cool Mike's Hard Lemonade.

Oh, we have loads of that kind of stuff here in the UK, alcoholic lemonade, orangeade, cola etc along with pre-mixed 'girlie' drinks like Metz and Smirnoff Ice.

Popular 'Alcopops' include Hooper's Hooch.(lemonade) and Two Dogs

Never...I repeat, NEVER drink Mike's when thirsty. I went to my brother's house for a party. I walked from the closest subway stop from his house. Although the stop was only about 15 min from his house, you have to walk over a hill. By the time I got there, I was a little thirsty. The thing about Mike's is that it tastes like lemonade with little side-flavour, so I accidently drank about 6 in 40 minutes. Needless to say that set the night in motion for what would later include other forms of alcohol. I think I eventually passed out at about 2AM.  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

The only problem I have with these drinks is that they become more attractive to underage drinkers, and in particular kids, who don't like the taste of beer, but do like the taste of Lemonade etc.

Ryanb741. What does your statement have to do with someone's favorite hard lemonade choice? Take your crying, and start your own thread about the newfound evils of hard lemonade on todays youth.  Yeah sure
