I disabled my PC to move house and when I reconnected it up it displayed a message saying:

Self Test G

Check your PC and signal cable R

Monitor is Working B

What does that mean? The computer is working but the monitor keeps showing that message and it will not display anyt6hing else thus I am unable to use the computer.

Any help would be great.

Cheers

Can't help you there SUJ, but hows palmy? I had some complications getting in for this first half of the year, and now start the Bav in the second semester. I will however be there to do another course for 6 months, starting next month.

Also what are the internet options there? Can you get jetsteam?

Started today, My internet doesn't start till 7th of Feb. It's OK. Will you still be in Kairanga A1-1? Coz I'm in A1-2 and A1-1 seems pretty deserted.
Had Orientation and uniform fittings so it wasn't too exciting. We start flying next week.

I won't know about the internet because my computer isn't working at the moment and I am now using a internet cafe. I'll try find out for you.

So I guess I'll be seeing you in a month or so.

Oh and about the actual question, could it be that the cable is jammed or someting?

An easy way to see what the culprit is would be to try to use your monitor on a different computer. If the monitor works then it is your computer.

You should also check vice versa by trying out a different monitor on your current computer to see how that works.

Hopefully you know someone nearby you can try this stuff out on.

or...

Is the cable connecting your monitor detachable from the monitor? You can then buy a replacement cable to see if the old cable just busted.

Also make sure everything is in tight and screwed in properly  Smile

That message means the monitor is not receiving any signal from the graphics card. From the self test performed it appears the monitor is OK.
Check the connections, then open your computer to see if the graphics card was not accidentally dislodged during transport.
