Today let's also discuss if you prefer numerous keyrings with a few keys on each one or a big one with everything on it
Personally I loathe having a keyholder like Passepartout, I rather prefer separating car/house/work/whatever keys.

3 car keys
1 house key
1 gate key
2 keys to my parents' house
1 restraint cuff key
1 locker key
2 keys I don't recognize and should probably remove
1 pewter saxophone keyring I've had for about 15 years
Now that that's out of the way, I can get to something important, like clicking the thing at the top of my pen.

I have a keyring in the shape of a transparrent cube with a skeleton laser drawing inside it. (Pretty cool actually) Only have the house key attached to this. My car keys don't have a key ring...

Good fret UTA!
I have 13 keys on my ring+gadgets. Homes, cars, works...
Disadvantage : its too big & everyone knows I got keys...
Advantage : I cannot pass 45 min to search it when my ring is in my pocket!

All on one ring:
3 car keys (2 for 1 vehicle, 1 for another)
1 House key to my mother's place
4 keys for my apartment building (1 for the main door to the complex, 1 for the mailbox, & 2 for both locks on my apartment door)
1 key for my desk drawer at home
1 key to my church building (where I serve as a trustee)
Total number of keys on ring: 10
I also have 3 key cards as well: one for the grocery store, one for a drug store, the other for a sports apparel store.
When I head off to work, I carry an extra key ring that has 2 keys (1 for the bathroom and snack room, the other for my desk drawer at the office). There's also an electronic key card on that ring as well; I need it to get in the office.

I have two keys (out of seven) whose use I no longer remember. Needless to say, if I were to discard them I'd soon need them.

1 restraint cuff key
Saxdiva, care to embellish?
Logan
I was wondering if anyone would pick up on that...
At my last 9-5 job, I worked as Marketing Communications Manager for a medical device manufacturer. One of our product lines (and the one we were most known for) was medical restraints, and I handled all the product photography--we would shoot pictures of them on models as well as tabletop images of the products themselves.
Anyhow... it never failed that when we had to shoot some locking restraint, the bonehead product manager would forget to bring a key, and we wouldn't discover it until some poor model was already wearing the thing. I once had to pay a model to sit there and do absolutely nothing for over an hour (at a rate of $200/hour), locked up in a hobble restraint, while I waited for my assistant to bring me a key. I put that one on my keyring, and it's been there ever since.
Sorry if this is disappointing... but if you want to be tied up, come on out to L.A. and I'll see if we can accomodate ya.
