Report to slam oil-for-food managers
(CNN) -- A new report from an independent committee investigating the U.N. oil-for-food program in Iraq has found it was poorly managed and criticized its top administrator.
"The findings do not make for pleasant reading," wrote the committee's chairman, Paul Volcker, in a column published in Thursday's Wall Street Journal.
But Volcker, the former chairman of the Federal Reserve, also described his interim report focusing on U.N. management as "limited" and promised more revelations in future reports. The committee completes its work this summer.
The 200-page interim report is scheduled to be released at a 3 p.m. ET news conference.
