Following 707cmf's dimwit suggestion, I once bought a steak-and-kidney pie.
Beuuarrggghhh ! You really have to be a Brit to enjoy this dish
Any fans of that thingy out there ?

Now when you say pie....are you talking like a quiche or a pizza? Please explain that to me...and the first suggestion sounds disgusting, however the latter sounds great.

Steak and kidney pie, when prepared and cooked correctly, is one of the World's great culinary masterpieces. Even better though, is steak and kidney pudding - made with a suet pastry dough. Simply delicious.
When one of my daughters was very young, she took great delight in telling me, when I arrived home from work, that we had snake and pygmy pie for dinner

Absolutely delicious!
Unless you make your own, they are very difficult to purchase in the U.S. The occasional English themed Pub may carry them though. I will make one every now and then. I remember when my Mom first gave me directions on how to cook kidneys, she said: "Just boil the piss out of 'em".
BTW, they must be lamb kidneys, not beef. The lamb are much more tasty.
Serve with Fava beans and a nice Chianti! (Couldn't resist)
