My girlfriend and I both hike and trek so we will probably go hiking on one of the mountains here in North Wales on Sunday. But that's not totally confirmed yet.

Yeah, and we didn't see your response to that comment coming a mile away either Maverick. Go get laid...you might lighten up a little.

I have a nice surprise this year for the better half.

Flying up to Quebec City from Toronto, where we shall be ensconced at a beautiful, small European style boutique hotel, located in the old historic centre. Dinner will be at a charming, cozy yet chic French restaurant steps away from the hotel. Dinner will be followed by drinks at a wonderful, darkened piano bar, where fantastic rhythm and blues singers and musicians make for a wonderful, romantic ambiance and a memorable evening.

Nice.

The last time I was with a girl was 2001 (maybe even that was a dream!) and I now seem to be engaged in an (unintentional) long-term draught which will go from 2001-2010 in honour of one of my favourite science fiction writers, Arthur. C. Clarke!

If anything, it is more reason to put off getting a Valentine until after Valentine's Day. What a stupid idea for a holiday, just to spend money on stuff for your significant other. Might as well get a girlfriend afterwards, to avoid the hit on the wallet.  Big grin
