Oh brother...

What is it with the GOP & their hatred for the Clintons? Was it that the economy was booming during Bill's presidency? That the US was actually liked around the world? That people didn't have to have 2 or 3 jobs to get same income as back then?

CPH-R, it must be because the Bill Clinton successfully challenged the GOP's inherited right to presidency... the one all righties think they have, everywhere.

So you base a presidents accomplishents on how popular he is around the world? You know just because something is popular it doesn't make it right. At times the right things are not the most popular. hey, i think Clinton was a good President, how ever he wasn't the best, and he certainly wasn't infalable. Yet you guys seem to just base it as a popularity contest.

What is it with the GOP & their hatred for the Clintons?

...um, the exact same concept as the DEMs and their hatred for Bush? You act like any of this is new

Was it that the economy was booming during Bill's presidency?

Not that his policies should derive much credit for that

That the US was actually liked around the world?

Who on God's green Earth really cares?

That people didn't have to have 2 or 3 jobs to get same income as back then?

...and yet equal/higher unemployment during various spans of the Clinton era was seen as a not-so-bad thing  Insane

In many cases, I rather doubt it. The two are hated for many of the same reasons:

  • unpopular wars/battles/conflicts (I'm just itching for the first moron to say "no one died cause of Clinton's lies"... come on, make my day  Laugh out loud)
  • alleged WagTheDog policy decisions
  • shady pasts
  • fiscal policy (which happen to be nigh-polar, but for the same effect)
  • apparent stance on "the sanctity of the family" (which again happens to be nigh-polar, but for the same effect
  • etc

OK, let's hear about "Clinton's lies causing no-one to die"...I'm sure it will be most edifying.

Just for laughs, you can also spill the beans on Clinton's "shady pasts" (after a quick cut and paste job from Newsmax no doubt)... Insane

Now change Clinton to Reagan and we'll have the cheerleaders of the Dearly Departed popping up from the woodwork. And the word is "deserve;" not "derive.

That the US was actually liked around the world?

Apparently, Condi Rice, given that she's in .. gasp ... France, sucking up to the Euros.
Plus, the majority of the American people, irrespective of who they voted for.

    Refer to following point

Now change Clinton to Reagan and we'll have the cheerleaders of the Dearly Departed popping up from the woodwork

...perhaps because it'd be [somewhat] of a improper accreditation in that case?

And the word is "deserve;" not "derive.

    *buzz* WRONG,
not in this case it isn't bub  Laugh out loud

she's in .. gasp ... France, sucking up to the Euros.

...with what, other than employing empty words which in the end won't amount to zilch?

How about the other six billions of us?

Oh sorry, I forgot we only matter as long as we say "yes, SIR!" whenever a GOP President "asks" us to do something...  Insane
