Move over wimbledon, have a look at the tennis court Andre Aggasi and Roger Federer played at recently:

If you haven't guessed it yet, the match was played on the Helideck at the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai. It was a 20 minute friendly match 211 meters above the ground. The winner of the match has not been announced.

I am not a fan of heights - unless there's something protecting me from the edge - so I don't think I'd venture up there.  Wink/being sarcastic

I really don't like the look on Federers face in picture 3.

Did anyone see Agassi walking down again with Federer?? Big grin
Or did he use the "fastlane"?  Big grin

Sometimes the ball goes outside the court. A bit high, and one would have to walk outside the court, the other side of the fence, to pick it up. Here, it means 650 feet lower, swimming...

Is this real? Do they really not have any side protections? Whats if the ball falls over? Can you make a reservation there if you are a guest?

Bravo, that is the hotel's helicopter landing deck. It's not typically used as a tennis court, and was just converted for this match I believe.

Call me a chickenshit if you like but I'm scared of heights if there isn't much to protect me from falling off.

Still awesome. That first picture looks almost unreal. I'm not a big fan of the Burj lobby but the outside is awesome.

There are safety nets clearly visible in pictures 1, 2, 3

With Aggasi's great serve it looks like the 10 balls the brought up would be enough for about 5 points. Did they actually play or was it just for a new Nike ad?

Where are the masks?

This exhibition has been made as advertising for the Dubai tennis turnament. It is part of the strategy to attract more and more people to Dubai.
And apparently, it works. Free advertising all around the world, plus discussions on forums...

I saw a short report about this match yesterday in the night news, the location of the tennis court is simply awesome!
