can anyone tell me what the deal is w/ this man in texas who has been told by a judge that if he has sex again before he gets married, he will throw him in jail for the rest of his life!?!? i know that this guy is obviously an idiot and i am not saying that his statutory rape isn't a big deal. i understand that it is a crime for him to have consensual sex w/ these girls, but the thing that bugs me the most is that if those girls that he got pregnant wanted to go and have an abortion and terminate the life of the fetus, that's perfectly legal and is just fine with the law...like i said - the guy is obviously a creep (so don't say that i am condoning what he has done), i am just saying that the taking of an innocent life is perfectly "legal" - and that, to me, is the real crime. what do you guys think?

Seems he is a repeat sex-offender. In many US states there is a mandatory life sentence for a third offense.
He already has 2 sex offenses to his name (sex with a minor and what sounds like rape). This verdict was probably reached after consultation with his councelor in exchange for a more lenient sentence.

Girls who are still minors are complete sluts and they go for older men. My 16 year old sister is a prime example of that, her friends told me her boyfriend is 23 years old. Although she says its its not true, I saw the guy pick her up and he looked at least 20. So the guy is only half the problem, the slut should be imprisoned too.

In Canada the law states this; If one of the person in the couple having sexual intercourse is under the age of 16 then the grounds for statutory rape CAN aply BUT usually the person whom is oder must be so over three years older. So if the girl is 15 and he's 18 (or vice versa believe me it happens) even though the both gave concent the older can be charged with statutory rape. Now I'm not saying the youngest gets away scot free. I just haven't gotten that far in my law report on rape. Sorry....
