Anyone Up For A Lousy Luton Meet?

Credit has to be given to EZYairbus for this idea  Smile
After the Fabulous FRA meet, the Rhaabulous DUB meet and before the awesome LBG meet, why not host a Lousy LTN meet in early May ?
Participants could arrive in the lousy LCC of their choice and entertain themselves by viewing bizjets and cargo aircraft (along with those orange and blue-yellowthingies).

Who's up ?

How about a Sunny Southend Meet?  Wink
Airshow, Sea-front, Essex Boy Racers and Chav's, what more can a photographer ask for?

Southend... How much is the landing fee ?
Because if you do that, you can count on a Poupinou'n co flying in with the DR221 if the weather is nice enough.

Cheers,

Landing fee's are quiet exspensive. Have a look at www.southendairport.net

By the way, it was a joke  Wink

I could do a Luton meet if my wife thinks I'm working. Sling some dates around. It's fairly easy to get there from the IOM.

Not the 1st though as I am returning from FRA via MAN that day. May I suggest the bank holiday weekend? 28th - 30th ish

Southend, what a nice idea. All I ever do there is go to Inflite and work! Be nice to have a day out there for a change. When's the airshow?

The airshow is on the 29th and 30th May, this could quiet possibly be the last airshow at Southend, due to redevelopment of the sea front.  banghead

UTA, it's easy to get to Southend, just jump on a train at Liverpool Street and it'll take you straight there.

Sorry, I said train. No, you can't fly there LOL! Unless you have a PPL or something.

Me, I'll hire a car at LGW and drive up if I go.

I might also get a trip around the Inflite hangar.

Cheers

Give up on this one, methinks.

There is 'no-where' to spot from at LTN anymore unless you have a car and drive round to the other side of the airport and go up to the crash gate at the side of the runway. Is that still open by the way??

Birmingham isn't a bad idea, good indoor facility, although some of the views have been lost due to building work.

Having said all of this, it's probably cheaper to go abroad with a lo-cost than it is to drive to places like LTN and BHX.

How about a Lucious LBA meet. Some good spots there, not a huge amount of traffic though, but some interesting approaches can be seen in the strong x-winds.
