Our german teacher went on for weeks about lame Trabi jokes. He was the only one who found them amusing...  Smile

Don't even bother to get a translation for his stuff. Just take any mediocre US hiphop text with lousy rhymes, cusswords and glorification of being socially f*cked and you get an idea. Besides that, even as a native german-speaker, I find it hard to understand every single word this high school drop-out "sings".

I like hip hop and I've been a fan sophisticated german hip hop (i.e. Blumentopf, EinsZwo,....) but the Savas, Sido and who else produce is what I prefer to call "Unterschichten-Musik" (low-class music sort of).

WTF, I'm bored anyway so here's the last paragraph:
Well the mainpoint of the song is that he "disses" a former friend. zzz

There's some sort of beef between a former member of Savas' rap label Optik, Eko Fresh, and Savas himself. Eko released a Diss-Track against Savas some months ago, and this is Savas' answer. I think it's quite funny, Eko said in his track "...and you're not 50 Cent" and Savas' track starts with a message from 50 cent "for my man Kool Savas".

Racko,

I heard that story as well. IMO cheap marketing trick to up record sales and media attention, perfectly planned by the record companies. They are trying to look like the "Big Boys" : Noturious B.I.G and Tupac Shakur and feud with each other. Childish.

Argh, gotta hate those "gangsters"... Anyway, if the people out there want to support them with buying records of guys like Savas, Sido, Eko and so on, they should do it, not my problem. But the really sad part aren't the "artists" as such (They're mostly harmless, just wanna make money), but the people on the streets following their examples... I once read a word in a different forum: "Bushaltestellengangster" (Bus Stop gangster) Nevertheless, sometimes they're quite funny, especially when they're starting to speak:D Damn guys! That is definitely no German... Take a mix of German, English, Turkish, and a bit Persian, mixed up with some "cool" words and you've got a completely new language! It's hard not to laugh if you hear it, but they don't get it for themselves how stupid they are... Poor German HipHop scene...

BTW: The beginnings and HipHop like the mentioned "Blumentopf" is ok, not my favorite music, but not bad as well....

Ok, it's a well known fact that these songs officially suck. They are just 2 losers picking on each other. But just for the kicks of it. Who do you think wins the argument?

Greetz
Stoney

Ps: I'm for Cool Savas, because Eko is sooooo damn lame.

As this is an international website, messages should be written in English. An occasional "Hello" or "How are you?" in French, Swahili or any other language is however permitted.

Couldn't have said it better. Just last week I was at a supermarket, which is at a rather "skid row" of our city here, and there was a young couple, couldn't have been older than 20, both dressed in "Pit-Bull" training suites with their kid. The kid's name was......TUPAC!!! Scares the shit out of me!
