Ok all you A.neters. how do you vent stress?

At work we joke a lot or talk in different voices, or just plain talk to ourselves.

I know a lot of people will say "I go get hammered" I am talking other than going and getting drunk, or doing drugs.

- A hot bath.

- Time alone. Nothing recharges my batteries like setting some time aside for me, myself and I.

- Sex is a great de-stresser.

- Occasionally, a big fat joint.

Isn't it the ultimate de-stresser?

What's with that?
Kind of like ordering diet coke with a double-double and fries....

I usually get violent and break stuff..

Other times have a couple of beers (not to the point of getting drunk) and watch a movie.

Actually I did that last night when I found out my pet was gonna have to get euthanized. Rolling Rock and Donnie Brasco (movie) are a good combination.

I bitch and bitch and bitch until the people around me can't take it anymore then I'm cool. This happens most often in the car... someone doing 35 in a 45 can have me going on for 20 minutes. Most of my friends find it comical, my ex girlfriend found it utterly annoying. Go figure.

Stress!! I suffer with that being a bus driver . The sheer stupidity I see on the roads by car drivers is...well ... CRAZY, and thats being polite.
I get home, and if anyone says one wrong word.. AAARRRGGHH!! and at work all the lads keep out of my way. I can be extremely aggressive if I lose my cool.

I go spotting or just general picture-taking, I play my guitar (works really well), or i just take a drive sometimes. Listening to music helps alot.

Then I stop procrastinating and finish what's actually causing the stress in the first place Big grin

I usually just vent with some close friends, some of whom are A.netters. It works great, because I know that nothing I say will ever be repeated to anyone else and I can just get it off my chest. Conversely, I am always there for my friends when they need me.

cheers

Unfortunately  Yeah sure , I start to throw stuff around (washing-basket).
Shouting really loudly and releasing all the stress is a good way!
Or a quiet sit-down on my own usually works, as it gives time to think!

Cheers Ryan

Seriously, I usually go spend about $20 at the local cineplex. First, I play a video game until I am sweeating and breathing hard (shoot up aliens or terrorists or something with my crack photo-gun skills) then get a cup of ice cream and watch a movie. After that I am usually ready to go home and sleep.

-SLEEP. Thats what I do the most when Im stressed or upset.... SLEEP... I once had a nervous breakdown, and came home from university for the night because of it..... so I got home, and immediately went to bed... I slept for 14 hours. And the next day I felt like a new person.
