LOVE everything from Trance to Hardstyle

Sounds like a bit of a narrow range, but to each their own.

Anyway, I try to find goodness in all types, and often I succeed. A few examples:

Jazz: Coltrane, Mingus, Monk

Classical: Bach, Shostakovich, Krystof Penderecki

Bluegrass: Tony Rice, David Grisman, Bela Fleck

Classic Rock: Beatles, Dylan, Jefferson Airplane

Jam Rock: Dead, Allman Brothers

Progressive Rock: ELP, Yes, Rush, King Crimson

Classical, Blues, some jazz, bluegrass..I probably spend most of my music
listening time with the Grateful Dead, Jerry Garcia Band, Allman Bros..and various Jerry Garcia offshoots with Grisman, et al.

Oh..and somehow I got interested in Country music again after years of not
paying much attention to it.

I can listen to anything except country and urban, although I listen to a lot of progressive, breaks and trance.

Current favourite DJ is Greg Benz

I also listen to a lot of Pink Floyd, William Orbit and Cafe del Mar compilations, basically anything that appears to have some element of talent.

I use to hate country, but ever since I have been to the Wrinkle Ranch (Cougar bar) and have been subject to a bunch of country songs some of them are kinda good. Ie Big and Rich...Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy.

My music I listen to is Dance, I like most hit music and I find my self listening to hit music in my car, but I like classic rock, some Rap, some sappy crappy stuff too, I think I have a wide taste in music.

It's a mix of mainstream, prog Rock and Blues.
Some of the folks populating my CD rack:

Van Morrison
Peter Gabriel
Sting
Alanis Morissette (her older albums)
Joe Jackson (those thinking, Joe's a brother of Michael Jackson should drop dead)
Mike Oldield (Tubular Bells, Amarok and the like only; can't stand his Pop songs and chill-out music)
David Lindley
Nick Cave
David Byrne
The Rolling Stones
Weather Report

Muse ... Muse ... Muse ..., well yes, I would probably have a copy of Absolution and Origin of Symmetry IF Matt Bellamy's voice was ... ahem, well ... different.
And on Absolution there's sometimes a level of distortion, I don't even get what they are trying to do.

I like Baroque, Classical, and Romantic music.

Concerto No. 3 in G Minor for Oboe, Strings, and Continuo (G. F. Handel)
Concerto in G Major for Flute and Orchestra, K. 313 (W. A. Mozart)
Overture to Don Giovanni (W. A. Mozart)
Symphony No. 40 in G Minor (W. A. Mozart)
Symphony No. 38 in D Major "Prague" K. 504 (W. A. Mozart)
Concerto in C Major for Oboe and Orchestra, K. 314 (W. A. Mozart)
Concerto in A Major for Clarinet and Orchestra, K. 622 (W. A. Mozart)
Symphony No. 5 in C Minor (Beethoven)
Symphony No. 3 in Eb Major "Eroica" (Beethoven)
Leonore Overture No. 3 (Beethoven)
Overture to Egmont (Beethoven)
Symphony No. 5 "Reformation" (Mendelssohn)
Symphony No. 4 "Italian" (Mendelssohn)
Scheherazade Op. 35 (Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov)
Symphony No. 1 in C Minor (Brahms)
Symphony No. 2 in D Major (Brahms)
Academic Festival Overture (Brahms)

I could listen to those all day.

Among others, punk rock, rap, and hip/hop (because I am black).

Logan22L, Bach is Baroque and Shostakovich is modern. The classical composers are from 1700 - 1820.
