One more thing, TeX...you said, "mostly unprovoked rudeness towards others, verbally or written..". Then you toss out and unprovoked generalization like 'narrow minded conservatives and
bible beaters'. OK.

People talking about god as if they were sure he existed. For example saying things like "when I die I will be with god" or "god helped me with this" or even "you are possesed by the devil, thats why you dont belive in god". In my opinion the god is only in their brainwashed minds.
p.s. im not trying to be an inmature A$$, just stating what I find offencive.

I get offended when a person makes a prejudicial (is that a real word? LOL) remark like "Look at that wetback". Makes me think less of them. Not alot offends me. But I pose this question to everyone since it has something to do with offending people. When I went in for job interviews the managers would tell me that alot of people are offended with body piercings and tattoos (because I have a tongue ring), now my question is WHY is it so offendng...what's so offending about it??

The one thing that offends the hell out of me are people who beg for money at the offramps in most major cities and the old guys who hold up the signs that say something along the lines of I used to be a veteran so you are obligated to give me some money. I dont mind people who actually do something for money. For example a couple years back in San Francisco there was this lady and her young daughter (they were homeless) but they did not beg for money, the put on a nice dance show at the place where the cable car turns around. I will never in a thousand years give money to someone who is begging for it.

People who are over-sensitive to things.
Those people who think that if they see a religious symbol, that religion is somehow being forced upon them. I've always wondered what happens with these guys if they go to Paris and visit Notre Dame or the Hagia Sofia in Istanbul. Would they spontaneously explode upon walking through the door?
Those who feel that life should be totally safe, and if anything happens (e.g. they trip over a crack in the sidewalk) then it is somebody elses fault.
