Stuck In A Meeting... Should I Be Posting Here?

I am currently stuck in a quite boring meeting (I know, that is a pleonasm).

We are supposed to do stuff with our laptops, but right now, the sofware we have to use has crashed, and I can only wait for it to come back online.

My difficult question is :
Is it right for me to be on NonAv during this meeting ?

Have you Frenchies lost the art of conversation amongst yourselves?

Really, starting this thread was just another way of talking to me you know...Tis a bit sad young Antoine.  Wink

Have you only just realised that you are doing what most others do with their laptops in meetings?

All this time you naively thought that the concentrated keyboard tapping you heard coming from behind all those screens (which you can't see from where you are sitting) around the meeting table was actually frantic notetaking!!!

HELLO!!!! Why do you think meetings are such an unproductive waste of time.
The real decisions are made by a couple of key people (such as the mailroom clerk and webpage work experience kid or intern) in the john afterwards (in between seeing who can pee highest up the wall).

People only go to meetings to catch up with their online forum and chat friends, check out how their eBay bids and sales are going, and to download pre-release DVDs. They can't do this at their desks because someone may unexpectedly catch them at it and then have to file all that paperwork about inappropriate use of company IT resources.

So meetings are the understood safe havens for these activities.
It is mentioned in the Geneva Convention on Acceptable Corporate Activities, probably somewhere between legitimate use of travel and expense accounts and how to account for bribes as consultant and facilitation fees.

I think 707CMF is obsessed with the Non-AV forum if he is on it at a meeting

It is not a violation of forum rules to post while you are at a meeting provided you post a photo from your cellphone that shares the excitement of the meeting with the rest of us

Don't mind my ignorance with this question but can you really do that?
