Ok everyone. This is the last time I'm asking for a firm commitment before the end of the month. This gives all of you ONE WEEK to figure out if the Rosevelt is all right or not. Again...the details:
$159.00 a night, single or doubble occupancy.
20 room minimum.
This hotel is located across the street from Grand Central Station. It is centrally located for everything we wanted to do downtown. This is the lowest rate you are going to find in August in downtown NYC. This is an increadible deal for a hotel of this kind!
For all of you that think there will be tons of money saved by staying at JFK, or EWR:
Please take into account how much it will cost you each day to come into NYC by cab or bus or train. Think about how long it will take you to do this. As a group we have decided we want to do plenty in downtown. Bars, Ground Zero, etc. The money you "saved" on staying at one of the airports, will quickly be lost on your transportation to the city each day.
For those of you that have either commited, or said no:
THANK-YOU!!! This means alot to me. Even if you said no, I appreciate a quick response. For those of you that did say no, though...I of course wish you would change your mind
We want to wrap up a deal by the end of the month if we are going to do this. Why so early? They are HOLDING these rooms for us! Let's wrap this up by the end of the month, please. Either way, I could care less. Obviously we are getting a great group rate at a great hotel in the city. Staying together at the same location will make it easier to stage our activities at the start of each day. The bennefits are many, and the negatives are few. But let's try to get a decision by the end of the month.

I will be there but probably for a day trip. Don't count me in on the hotel, as I will stay with a friend if I do spend the night.
