I have the Archos AV4100. Its 100GB! So i could hold (on average) 200 full length films or 1,000,000 JPEG pics, or 25,000 songs. It can also record off TV and if i have a film on it, i can connect it to a TV and watch it on a big screen.
It wasn't exactly cheap (£629), but it is a lot better than any other MP3/MP4 player out there, and is great when i hit a sense of bordem.

I have the silver version, it's the greatest compact portable player around in my opinion, although I can't benefit from iTunes' online music shopping, but I have enough music to fill it up.

I bought a 512MB shuffle, and love it, but I would never touch any of the other iPods(been there done that).

Jeez MP4, thats out atleast a few years from now. From what I understand, MP4 is the successor to the mp3. An mp4 is basically a container that can store many sub-formats which would mainly be AAC. Adding ID tags to mp4 has standardized on the Apple iTunes format. Files ending in .m4a are audio content only, .mp4 can contain both audio and video, .m4v are video files. Apple supplies protected mp4 files in a .m4p format from its online audio store.Files ending in .aac are raw audio files.
Quoting FLVILLA (Reply 1): Just waiting to see how long it takes for someone to say there crap and we should all buy MP3's.
The iPod is an MP3 player, to an extent.

I'm using my student discount on Monday to get a green mini ipod for my sister. I myself don't have a mini, I have the 20gb version, and it's simply fantastic! I use it so often!

I have the blue Ipod mini, just awesome. I bought it before I went to SFO. I don't regret that I bought it. I have a 6 gb version, currently filled with 1,5 days of music .

Dan2002,
They don't sell the AV4100 on Amazon, but they do sell its "younger brothers" of which are listed as MP3/MP4 players. The AV4100 is the same as those but has more memory.
