Here are a few pics that I took on my recent trip to Boston. The first one is of me sitting outside Fenway waiting for the ballpark tour to start. The next two are shots taken from the press box, and the last one was taken from on top of the green monster. It was my first trip to Fenway since September 1998, and even in the winter, the greatness of the ballpark cannot be put into words. Apologies in advance for the blurry spots on the pictures.

Man I had a great time up there. BOS is without question my home away from home.

Look at that antiquated run down stadium. Knock it down and build a dome!

Well I was speaking of classic ballparks. Camden's only been around for about 11-12 years now. Awesome park, but very little history besides Cal Ripken and a couple of playoff series.

Fenway Park as a domed, astro turf stadium.....!! Are you sick..!!!!

Look at that antiquated run down stadium. Knock it down and build a dome!

NEVER...!! I've been to Fenway 4 times in my life, 3 times playing the Yankees..!! I will never forget the first time I saw the 'monster'

Fenway park is the Meca of Baseball! The Red Soxs should always play there. I was there a few weeks ago to. First time I been to Fenway. Wow it was awesome. Tour Guide let me go on the field since he knew me and a couple of friends were such big baseball fans. I was surprised that they do not cover the field up durring the winter.

Really, though, I would still like to attend a Fenway game before anything is done to the place. I will just leave my Yankees gear at home, and hope I don't have to interact with any of those crazy fans.  Wink

Oh, don't worry about it. I went to a Red Sox game last September (it was part of my cousin's wedding weekend festivities so I didn't have much of a choice) and wore my Yankees hat. When you think of Red Sox fan, think 'bandwagon.' These are the fans who had no use for their team when they sucked, but now that they are good they like to act tough and tell you what kind of great fans they are. No one will lay a hand on you, Bostonians like to talk shit, but in reality they know they're a second class group of people  Wink

Aren't you a native Texan? If that is true you have no room to talk.

Nope. I really don't consider myself a native of any place since I've moved around a lot.

Yankees hat in Fenway - not a great idea...take it from a Yankee fan who has survived Fenway on numerous occasions...if the Yanks aren't playing, you're asking for trouble.

As for Fenway II...Chelmsford? That must explain why no one's in the stands (although LeLacheur Field in Lowell - the next town over - has a beautiful minor league stadium for the Spinners).

Whats better than Yankees Honk calling the fans of another team bandwagon? I mean he is right...but glass houses. Especially from Jcs.

This is hte best and most vicious KO I have seen in a long time. Oh, and Usairwys757...you might want to come up with something other than Mark in a Sombrero/Soccer Jersey pic. When thats all you have and you use it constantly...you play it out quick.

Just how far up your ass is your bulbous head? The Red Sox have been selling out virtually every game at Fenway for the last several years. Of course there are some bandwagon fans, but they sure as hell aren't here in Massachusetts.

They have also been doing pretty well for the last several years. The ownership has been spending the money to get the good players to put them into the playoffs.

I would still be wary of wearing anything Yankee related, though. I've seen quite a few sox fans having their asses just absolutely destroyed when they have taken out Red Sox hats at The Stadium. At least the Yankee fans know how to take care of rival fans.  Wink
