According to the news he hanged himself in a park in Melbourne.
Sad news. He was a member of one of the best bands in the 80ies and 90ies.
R.I.P.

That is very sad. I remember him in their videos - he seemed like a very funny guy.

I was at 2 concerts. He was kind of a comedian on stage.

What was 1 or 2 of their most famous songs? The band of course is familiar, but it escapes me at the moment what their big hit(s) were.

"Don't Dream it's Over"? Was that one?

Yep, that was their biggest hit I guess. My favourite, however, is "Distant Sun".

"Fall at your feet" was another classic, which has recently been repopularized (around here anyway), by a remake three years ago by Jesse Cook and Danny Wyld.

Next flight.... who knows.

"Something So Strong"
"Four Seasons in One Day"
"Chocolate Cake"

Those were some of their other ones.

Can life really get so bad that one has to kill themselves?

Too bad.

Some more great songs are "Weather with You" and "It's only natural". Both from the album "Woodface".
