Well, I think we will all agree (well, except GKirk, but then he is a  censored   Silly ) that England should win pretty comfortably tonight. However, I think it's probably best not to assume that the result will be fantastic and that the match will be a breeze - complacency and a 'we don't need to try' attitude might uin it all. Level-headed, quite air of confidence - go get 'em!

We should have an A.net football get-together, perhaps when England plays Scotland.  Big grin Big grin

So I am right in assuming England will be fielding their 53rd rate team comprising of 6th graders from West London?

Personally, I believe that England will destroy Azerbaijan. The English team is far superior than the opposition and has huge amounts of talent and depth. I can see England scoring at least 5 against Azerbaijan. This is coming from a Welshman BTW. As for Wales, well they lost 2-0 against Austria on Saturday which was pathetic to say the least. Wales play Austria again tonight only in Vienna. I do hope that Wales manage to put in a better performance than they did on Saturday!

Regards,
Chris

I cant see us rattling up a score like Poland did saturday, this team give us a good game last time we played them, only beat them 1-0!

It wont be easy, England will sit back like they usually do against the minnows!

Well, just think about it ! Only spamhead soccer-chavs such as yourselves will automatically assume you mean the footie - the rest of us (99.9999999999999999% of the known universe) will wonder if war has been declared between the two while no-one was looking. Clarity, boys - in all things clarity. Tchah !

That was the game played in a hurricane, if I recall correctly. Where any pass longer than about two yards flew into the stands. I watched that game. England did well to win it.

Be nice if Northern Ireland can do us a favour and get a point off the Poles (no chance).

Scotland in the meantime, have asked the Vatican City for a game, in the hope of a morale boosting win. Walter Smith was quoted as saying "There are no easy games in football, and if we'll need to be on top of our game if we're to come away with a draw. I hear they've got some Polish bloke in goal too."

Unlike the cowardly Scots fans, who run away all the time, forcing the Italians to have a scrap amongst themselves. You Jocks have no honour!  Wink

That's rather unlikely. The Scots would miss last orders because none of them would want to take the risk of being first there and having to actually pay for it. No, it's far more likely that they scuttled away in abject terror, as Scots have done throughout the centuries... Big grin

Depends on how he survives on the streets. Apparently, he got picked up last time for singing about Scotland winning or something. As clear evidence of an unbalanced mind, it got him sectioned for two weeks.  Wink

I don't think we have one. Perhaps that is something worth writing to an MP about. At least so long as the lunatic asylums continue to overflow. On the other hand, maybe we could officially re-classify Scotland itself as a lunatic asylum itself - that would solve several issues in one go, especially since we wouldn't have to worry about people inadvertently going into the loony bin. At least, not non-Scottish people.

I know, I try, I try ! Not to worry, it will take them a couple of months to look them all up in the Monosyllabic Thesaurus, so we're good for a while.
