Current scores - at half-time:
Poland 0 - 0 Northern Ireland
England 0 - 0 Azerbaijan
Wales 0 - 0 Austria
Quite surprising! I do expect there to be goals in the second half, especially in the England v Azerbaijan match. There have been quite a few opportunities in the England match, a few of which were very good shots. But, alas, no goals. One did, a minute or so before half-time, go in, but it was not allowed due to it being off-side. Not a particularly exciting match so far, at least in my opinion. Remember what happened in the second-half against N.I. last weekend?

Horrific. England just cannot convert chances and the majority of the blame lands on the shoulders of Michael Owen. Why he went to Real Madrid we'll probably never know...

Tonight we play against Argentina at Buenos Aires (in about three hours) I would be more than pleased with a 0-0, but of course that is not going to happen.

Just came back from the Switzerland-Cyprus match. We played a terrible game, but still managed to win 1-0.

31 Banco: Don't lie, Kirkie. I know you care passionately about England. You passionately want them to lose, but you DO care. Anyway, it looks like both Englan
33 Thom@s: Moldova vs Norway 0-0 0-0???!!! Terrible match, and we lost two points there. I only hope we can beat Belarus and Slovenia on away ground. Then there
34 WunalaYann: Ooooh yes, it is. Now, serious, how come Trézéguet gets a red card and not the guy who nearly tore him in two pieces on two-feet-lifted sliding ank
35 Banco: Could be! But you've got to improve a bit more yet. That thumping from New Zealand was embarrassing. Now, tell me something: Is it written into the c
36 WunalaYann: Worse. I was in the stands. A shame. Thank God, the All Blacks are my favourite team, so that was not too bad. That Dan Carter guy, wow. Yeah, defini
37 Banco: Where so you think Johnny Wilkinson learnt his technique? I don't know that it's fair to say Waddle never got a chance with England though. He got 62
38 WunalaYann: But, outside of Italy '90, he got them in minor/qualifier games... I notice that the only major tournament he played in, he was awesome! Well. Still,
39 LY7E7: Why u don't just say that he pulled out a gun and tried to shoot Trézéguet ? Cmon, that was just a somewhat dangerous tackle (which cost him a yell
40 WunalaYann: I'm sure we didn't see the same game. I'm no soccer fan, but that was just a scandal. Sorry, buddy. Cheers!
41 Banco: So long as he puts 24 points past the French in World Cup semi-finals he can stand on his head beforehand as far as I'm concerned! Apparently it's ju
42 WunalaYann: Agreed. Well, he's very efficient, when he is in the line-up, that is... For now, I will go with Yachvili for goal-kicking... And yes, the last Englan
43 LY7E7: No right of saying then. Try actually watching games. Such tackles are a common thing , and normally they grant the performer a yellow card. Performi
44 Banco: Bit of a shame, isn't it? He's in the Newcastle 22 for this weekend it seems, but only as a replacement. Let's see if he lasts more than 10 minutes t
45 WunalaYann: Ah, memories... I still think the Welsh took advantage of 20 terrible minutes by France. The other 60 minutes were an utter domination by les Bleus.
46 WunalaYann: Being a man of my word, I welcome you to my RU list! Cheers, Y.
47 Banco: Us rugby fans need to stick together! That headbutt was a little naughty. Obvious too. Even watching it live on the television it was case of "Did you

51 Aviationmaster: After last nights performance I would be very careful with that statement I can't deny though that beating France would be awsome!
52 WunalaYann: Most certainly. We like to rest on our rusted laurels... LOL!!!!!!!!!!! Cheers.
53 WunalaYann: Hey, Pearson and Banco, who got "Touloused" and "Stade Françaised" in the rugby Euro league this week end? Say hello, Newcastle and Northampton... Ye
54 Banco: Well, it wasn't exactly a surprise though was it? The French club teams are very strong at the moment, and it didn't help that Wasps had a bit of a ni

56 Banco: Biarritz won. Not surprised at all. Yes, Leicester are a good team, and they have the two old warhorses in Martin Johnson and Neil Back both desperate
57 WunalaYann: Yowzer!!! Three tests vs the All Blacks!!!!! Don't you think the tests are a little tight-scheduled? One every 3 or 4 days... Seems a bit too intense,
58 Banco: They're going to be taking about 40 players, so there should be plenty of time for rest and recovery. I suspect that you'll have a pretty large contin

60 Banco: I agree. Never underestimate the ability of the All Blacks to peak between World Cups!

62 Banco: The problem has been the Super Twelve. If you watch it (and over here we get it live on Sky), then you see how dominated by back play it is. The scrum

66 Banco: Why don't you go outside and play with the brm-brms, Kirkie?
67 WunalaYann: First, for the record, I want people to notice that this thread has gone completely wayward. The World Cup that was originally discussed is the FOOTBA
68 Banco: Well, they weren't alone. The French had cruised through the tournament to that point, and England were struggling. if truth be told, I think that En
