2001 Rose Bowl.
Shaq is coming to Miami.
2004 World Series Game 4

Best for me personal: Not sure, um, get back to that one. I have played alot of sports. I guess I will just put high school sports but only been playing high school for two years now.
1998 NBA First round playoff game MIA-NYC Game 5
2002 College Football National Championship.
really not sure about any others. Dont remember the bad things much.

GoCOgo: Looks like we have a few in common  Smile except we saw them a little bit different.

Best is between 2: the 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey gold medal, and the L.A. Dodgers 1988 World Series title.

Worst is either the Dodgers '77 or '78 Series loss to the Yankees (the one where Reggie Jackson stuck his butt in the way of a thrown ball and got away with it).

Not an athlete myself, so no comment on the personal end of it.

1996-present (Braves in the postseason)
2002 basketball season (UNC went *sigh* 8-20) never gonna happen again!

Best pro: Umm...lots of things
Worst pro sports moment: 3 years of NFC championship losses in a row

Best personal sports moment: Storming the field here at CU this season after big wins vs. archrival CSU @home and a last-second win vs. KSU...also being on TV 3 times this season during basketball games with signs....in actual sports that I participated in, I'd say it would be my 3-3 record as a varsity wrestler in 7th grade for my middle school wrestling team...that was the only interscholastic sport I did through my secondary school years...

Worst personal sports moment: Kind of asinine, but in 9th or 10th grade, we were playing soccer in gym class, I was the goalie, and we used cones to demarcate the goals, so there was no crossbar...needless to say, the other goalie was a real athlete, played all sorts of sports, and when he made a save, he absolutely clobbered the ball all the way downfield (it wasn't a regulation length soccer field but it was still one hell of a kick)...I completely misjudged it, so it bounced a few feet in front of me, then way over my head for a goal...I argued to the gym teacher that the ball had bounced at least 12-13 feet above the ground when it crossed the goal line(which it had) which was higher than a soccer crossbar, but to no avail...*sigh*

I used to play my ass off in tennis until I was in the finals of a tournament and then intentionally lose the match 6-0 6-0.

It was awesome, though my dad was pissed. I think I did it about three times before they let me quit, because I hated it.

My personal best is when I was playing 1st base and I dove for the ball. The ball poped out of my glove, but for some reason I saw the ball in slow motion and I caught it with my bare hand. I have had more exciting moments but that slow motion thing was the most memorable out of them all.

Best Professional: 1972 Miami Dolphins go 17-0 in a single season!
Worst Professional: 2004-05 Miami Dolphins can fight their way out of a paper bag!

Best Personal: Coaching my son's youth soccer team and watching him score his first goal (after playing with that team for 3 years) during a crucial Judge's Cup match! (The look on his face, after staring at the ball hitting the back of the goal net, when he finally realized it went in, was PRICELESS!) Oh yeah, that team became the Silver Medalists that year - They were an awesome team to coach!

Len Bias getting drafted #1 to the Celtics, only to overdose on cocaine before ever playing one game.

Worst sporting moment was that terrible day that cost Ayrton Senna and another driver their lives.

Best was Schumacher & Ferrari winning the championships in the recent past. And of course the Cricket series that has had the Australians whitewash the Black Caps in last 6 weeks - top notch cricket.

Arizona Diamondbacks World Series.
LSU's Sugar Bowl Win for the National Championship.
LSU's 2003 victory of Georgia.
LSU's 2004 victory over Oregon State. My voice was gone after that game and I had to sit and collect my strength for 10 mins after that one before I could get up and leave.
Phoenix Suns 1994 Western Conference Championship.

Phoenix Suns 1994 NBA Finals Loss.
Dallas Starts Derian Hatcher breaking Jeremy Roenicks jaw right before the playoffs. Thug should have been benched for the rest of the season, but only got 7 games. Also without Roenick, the Coyotes lost their closest attempt at wining a playoff series.
Ohio State's victory over ASU in the 1997 Rose Bowl. Still hate roid monkey David Boston, and this is where my hatred for their football program began. Basketball program under Thad Matta is a different story.

3 Straight Arizona High School Hockey Association State Championships. Most Specifically my 2nd one during my Jr. year when we beat a team from Flagstaff 3-2 who had beat us 9-2 a few weeks prior.

The one hockey game I ever skated out as a player instead of a goalie. Our team had 7 skaters including me, and after we won the other team decided to start an all out brawl. 6 of us against 14, we did pretty good considering the difference in numbers.

Hilarious, both of you, especially TriStar.  rotfl

Best personal -
-Running 5 miles for the 1st time 3 weeks ago
-Getting a hat trick + 1 in a soccer regional playoff my senior year of HS

Worst personal -
-Whenever I let my two left feet or misguided zealousness embarrass me on the basketball court. Or when someone would burn me on defense. That was rare.
-Getting clobbered with goals when I was goalie, in college or HS

Best pro-
-John Paxson hits the 3 against Phoenix
-Duke shocks UNLV in the '91 National Semifinals
-Miami beats OU in the '87 National Championship
-Da Bears win the SuperBowl
-Illinois shocks Arizona in OT
-"The Giants win the pennant, The Giants win the pennant" - well I wasn't around for that one  biggrin
-France beats Brazil in the '98 World Cup
-Watching a triple play when Montreal had to play the Marlins last year at Comiskey (US Cellular) in Chicago during the hurricanes.
-Simon, Bibby and Dickerson of Arizona take down three #1 seeds (especially UNC and Kentucky in the Final Four) en route to my vote for most exciting championship ever in 1997
-Boston beats the Yanks, 2004
-Bulls beat the bad boys, 1991

Worst pro-
-NLCS, Game 6, 2003
-UConn over Duke for the title, 1999
-Sean Higgins hits the bucket of his life, National Semis, 1989, against Illinois
-Illinois loses to Ohio State, last game, this year
-Arkansas beats Duke for the title, 1994
-UNLV, same thing, 1990
-The Cubs, since I was born, and prior
-The Bears, post-Halas (outside of '85)
-Jerry Krause saying championships are won in the front office, thus pushing Michael, Phil and Scottie out the door

Best Pro Moments:

-All 6 Chicago Bulls championships, but in particular the first vs. the Lakers, the third vs. Phoenix with the last second Paxson 3, and the final one against Utah with MJ's last second jumper for the win.
-The Bears winning the Super Bowl in '85
-The 2004 ALCS and World Series. It was awesome to see the Red Sox finally come through.
-The Patriots first Super Bowl win over St. Louis. I was in a house full of Ram fans watching that game, their expression at the end was priceless!
-Not pro, but Illinois beating Arizona in OT (I was there!) in the '05 tourney
-Watching McGwire and Sammy break the home run record (kind of tainted now though).

-Game 6 of the 2003 NLCS, otherwise known as the Bartman Game. Unfortunately I was there for that one too.

My little league team scored 19 points in a losing effort in an exhibition game (we were both league champs from different parts of ATL) against the unbeaten Forest Park Lightinings, who had not had that many points scored on the during the entire seasons...oh and they outweighed us by 30 lbs as it turns out some parent/coach misled our coaches about the weight classes. We lost like 30 -19 but we hammered their asses.

I ran the 2 mile run in 12:45....not very fast for my unit, but my personal best.

Aarons 715th Homerun...I saw it on television that day.

Atlanta beat Minnesota in the NFC championship game.....hell of a game.

Atlanta wins the World Series.

The Polish fencer runs the Soviet through under his armpit on a parry during the 1980 Summer Olympics, I saw it on TV. This was during a period of serious Polish upheaval and Solidarinose was on everyones mind. It seemed like karma.

Thrilla in Manila and the Rumble in the Jungle. Saw them both at the ATL Civic Center on closed circuit.

Foreman vs. Douglas.....still had the hammer.

Braves win NLCS with Bream and Cabrera and the rest....I was up in the nosebleeds of Atlanta Fulton County Stadium (site of the original Piedmont Hospital where my father was born somewhere around third base) sitting with my best friend.

Every world series except for the 1995 series.

Ali vs. Cobb

Ali vs. Spinks

Bonds took the single season HR crown under dubious circumstances

The 1998 Super Bowl.....we got distracted by our idiot cornerback who couldn't resist going for a $25 BJ and getting arrested (other players went too) and caused serious discord right before the biggest game of their lives. We should have worn those guys out.

Is my Pan Am ticket to the moon still good?
