I was thinking about starting such a thread.
Augusta National rocks: so much tradition, the wind through the pines, the azaleas, the rolling hills. My brother and I made it to the Monday practice round last year. One of the best days I've ever had. I'm still drooling over the pictures I took that day.
As for this year, I think Mickelson is the popular favorite, and nobody in their right mind would bet against him. Tiger's got a decent shot, though he's still working on facets of his game; Els is always a favorite; Singh has had some putting issues lately, and Augusta's not a place to have putting problems.
As a dark horse, I like David Toms. He's not a bomber, but he gets around the course just fine.
However, until he disproves it, Mickelson's the one to beat, he's already got 3 wins this year, so I'm gonna stick with him to repeat.

Who will win? The golfer with the lowest score - that is for certain.
I have $100 on David Toms at 28 to 1. Guess who I'm cheering for.

I am cheering for Mickelson. He has always been one of the main golfers I like to follow (along with Justin Leonard). Otherwise I am looking at Els to win if Phil does not. I just hope that some nobody doesn't win it. There has been too much of that in the last few years at the majors.
I heard the greens are the fastest they have ever been and the players are actually hoping for rain to slow them down!
