Well in Georgia they call the annual game between Georgia Tech and UGA "Culture vs. Agriculture"
And there's an old chant at Columbia that goes:
"Harvard is run by millionaires
Yale is run by Booze
Cornell is attended by farmer's sons
and Columbia is ruled by Jews"
I guess that goes under school stereotypes though....
We at Columbia refer to our all girl's school Barnard as "The Barnyard (where there's always a cow waiting to be milked)"

That's utterly ridiculous.
That reminds me,when at WPI in the early 1980s, there weren't that many women enrolled at the time, but the was a mostly girls school just down the road: Becker Junior College. We referred to them as the "Becker Pecker Wreckers."

There is a lot between the UCLA vs. USC rivalry:
for UCLA:
Westwood High
University of Caucasians Lost among Asians
for USC:
University of Spoiled Children (the classic)
University of South Central
Figueroa Community College (USC is on Figueroa Ave. in downtown)
otherwise, University of South Carolina Gamecocks make me chuckle.

Good one 'Fly. Incidentally, they did rename their institution to Arcadia University a while back; partly because their previous name kept getting getting blocked out by internet filters.

I agree, USC is the University for Spoiled Children.
I know of a few students from my high school that got in to USC with D & C grade point averages. Having a rich daddy pays off, I guess.

The local community college by my house, Moraine Valley, is often called Moron Valley, or UCLA (University of Chicago LaGrage Avenue) because of the street it is located on.
The school I go to, Illinois State University (ISU) is sometimes called "I Screwed Up" by high schoolers because people joke that it is often a backup school for those who couldn't get into Northwestern and the University of Illinois etc.
I agree with Mdsh00 about the University of South Carolina...a guy on my floor always wears a hat that says "COCKS" and written in small print underneath is "University of South Carolina"

Dang. I thought I would get a chance to talk about my high school and my dad's high school nicknames:
We both graduated from Blue Mountain Community College. Those that could not afford to attend a real college like Oregon State or Portland State went to BMCC. Or, as we called it: Harvard on the Hill.

Glad to see my alma mater (the REAL USC, I might add, an abbreviation that the University of Spoiled Children has hijacked. Besides...everybody knows you don't need Trojans unless you've got Cocks) is the source of much amusement to you lunks
