Hey folk,
Me and a couple of mates are going to Kavos in August for two weeks of non-stop alcoholism and STD swapping, but recently it occured to me, what is the legal drinking age over there and will it even be observed??
In August I'll be 4 months short of 18, will I have any problems with going out to bars/clubs??

If anyone can help then please try, thanks in advance,
Brett

Where is Kavos? Is it in GR or Cyprus? And which Kavos are you refering to because there are many of them in both countries.

Kavos in Corfu is on a par with Faliraki or as I call it Filakraki (get it?) on Rhodes.

In Greece there used to be no drinking limits but I think that I saw a sign during easter that the selling of alcohol was prohibited for people under 17. So you seem to be lucky.

Did it involve spending a night in a Greek jail Big grin

Seriously the things one reads in the papers about what goes on in these Greek package resorts; lads mooning (quite nice) puking up in the streets (not so nice) gangs of lads smashing up bars (not nice) Hen parties performing 'acts' on lads in the street (not nice) the odd rape (sick)

These Greek resorts are the new Magalluf and San Antonio. Its time these resorts cleaned up their image.

After the last post dont want anyone to think Im not for a drunken holiday in the sun. In my younger days I went with my mates to Palma Nova on a 'lager lout' holiday and pulled more than a few lasses (pre-gay) its just that now Im older I can see how our behaviour probably offended many of the families and older couples (could have been mum and dad or gran) and got the British a bad reputation abroad.

Thankfully I have calmed down and am now more likley to moan about drunken lads than to behave like one.
