An Exotic Vacation For A Flight Attendant

hello all,

i need to plan an exotic vacation for me and my husband, i will also be celebrating my birthday on this trip. as some of you might know that i'm a leading stewardess for singapore airlines. i've been flying for 10 years now. these past 10 wonderful years i've travelled to over 60 countries and god knows how many cities.

aside for all the destinations that sq flies to (current stations, as well as the cities that we no longer fly to), i've also been to morocco, did a safari trip in africa, russia, fiji, french polynesia (went to bora bora for my honeymoon!), brazil, argentina, and did some island hopping in the caribbean.

so now i'm thinking about either lhasa in tibet, or machu picchu in peru (i heard that they now have this train that goes up there, and they're affiliated to the orient express?). has anyone of you been to either place? and which one would you recommend? or you might have a different exotic place/city in mind?

thank you!

Ladies & Gentlemen, we will now demonstrate the use of the safety equipment on this aircraft...

Singapore girl, if you like nature, outstanding views and friendly people I recommend you to go to Chile. The north has the Atacama dessert and the south the lake district, full with lakes and volcanos.

Peru is also fascinating. In Peru there is another place beyond Machu Pichu and that is Nazca. You can see the Nazca lines, apparently draw by the Incas to communicate with extraterrestrial civilizations. The place and atmosphere is incredible there. Certainly exotic  Smile You can take a flight tour with Cessna as the lines are naturally seen from the air.

Greetings

Lima

I agree. Places like Kornati NP, Dubrovnik or Plitvice Lakes is really beautiful.

I was going to say Singapore but I guess you beat me to it, yourself!

I'd rule out Central/latin/south America. Europe might be nice. What about green/ice-land? Hawaii?

Perhaps Costa Rica or Belies (sp?), in Central America. Tourism, especially eco-friendly tourism has grown there, yet it is not difficult to get there and you have civilized facilities. If I am correct, they have excellent rain forest areas.

Yep. I'm going back to Cres/Losinj. I'm leaving August 2nd and returning August 24th. We'll be spending a day in Susak! We're going MSP-JFK-BRU-VCE, then taking train/bus/car combinations all the way to Cres.

Lucky buggers... a month in Croatia. I am going back in a week or so, but can only spare 4 nights.  hissyfit

Back to the topic.. Singaporegirl, what do you want from your holiday? Beaches? Activites? City life?

I would have to recommend New Zealand.. some great beaches in the North (and weather nice enough to enjoy them) and the amazing scenery and choice of activities in the South. The only thing I think you would not get would be the "great" city.. (sorry Auckland).

Or for a twin centre... South Africa and Seychelles? Activities, culture and white sandy beaches.  Silly

Choices choices hehe

South-Central L.A. is the place to be......... And now that the freeway-shooters are back at it again, one can play 'dodge the bullit' for fun... Enjoy!
