I was reading that the late Pope Jon Paul the II will be canonized, wich means he´s considered a Saint person, and to be considered a Saint person, one must have had performed a couple of miracles.

So....is it just me or this sounds like a big BS, I mean, we´re in 2005 and people still belive in miracles??or I´m going straigh to hell???

let´s hear from U.

ps. this is not a religious post, so if U wanna talk religion or anything start your own thread Big grin

If we are talking about Miracles then Herb Brooks should be cannonized.

Seriously, it is a miracle every day when I wake up in the morning.

I certainly do believe in them.

A very good friend of mine-she's like a sister to me, at work-her husband had a tumor in his brain, and was going through treatment after treatement to try and remove it or neutralize it, but nothing was working. At the time, she had a little 18 month old toddler, and was so afraid her little girl was going to grow up without knowing her dad.

Miraculously, and against all the prognostications of the doctors, the tumor started to shrink and vanished-and while there's a good chance he'll get it again someday, it's still hasn't returned.

And the real miracle? After his radiation, he wasn't supposed to father another child-he did.

So yes, I believe in miracles.

I believe in luck...and sometimes people get extremely lucky, but no miracles.

If there is a 1 in a 10 billion odds of something happening a certain way I think it can happen. It's not entirely miraculous but it's still beating the odds. And I believe in that.

ok ok guys, but then, what consists a miracle?? a thing that has a little odd chance of happening it´s a miracle?or something that we don´t fully understand why or how, then we say it´s a miracle?

I had a car accident with my father some years ago, and I only didn´t die, because I was sleeping on the pax seat with the seat all the way down(like a bed), the car crashed and the roof of the car on the right side(pax seat) went all the way down to me, I had o crawl out of the car. To my mom, it was a miracle, to me it was luck to be sleeping....

I think that in medicine it´s a more common thing, specially with "hard" cases like cancers etc. and we, humans, don´t fully understand how some things works, then , we tend to believe it´s a miracle. I tend to believe it´s something odd, but it happened, some people win the lottery, some survive cancer....

If hell does exists I´ll. I don´t belive in good, I haven´t been baptized, I did sex out of the marriage, i do all the 7 capital sins, I do look at the others wife, I just don´t steal(I guess).
So, if there´s a hell, I´m a very good candidate.

I wouldn´t call it miracle, but a smart decision. Actually I´ve changed from Red Marlboro to light Marlboro, but still...

You previously said that this is not a religious thread... By the way, capital sins are: Pride, avarice, envy, wrath, lust, gluttony, and sloth. "Steal" not.

Sorry for insist. I'm not judging you, but looking just a few facts of your life, confessed by yourself, I can only say that I 100% agree about your perfect candidacy for hell.
I'm not asking you to believe me. You're old enough to have your own beliefs, and the right to have it, but hell DO exist.
