STILL pierce brosnan. i'm quite excited for this! i think it speaks more to the fact that he is great and they have quite some difficulty in finding someone who can replace him.

Pierce Brosnan will play James Bond in the next 007 film, co-star Dame Judi Dench has revealed

The 51-year-old will reprise his role as the suave secret agent in Casino Royale, she said.

'Despite the fact that everyone on the face of the Earth has been tested as his possible replacement, Pierce will be doing it again,' added Dench, who plays M in the movies.

'It will be announced come the summer.'

I was gunning for Clive Owen who is quite simply the hottest man alive, and would have made the best Bond since Sean Connery.

Please.

He was a total stud in "Closer," showed off a sculpted bod, and gave one of the best performances of 2004.
As for the hirsute look, the best Bond - Connery - had a magnificient hairy chest.
Wax is for Mme Tussauds, not hairy chested Gods.

In contrast, Roger Moore had man breasts, and Brosnan has a lousy bod.

please. Closer was lame. all it was was hearing about how one person humped the other one. big deal. if you want to knock us out with perverted methods...show us the humping. the script was worse than a Lynne Cheney novel.

Ditto...I'd have a hard time coping with another new actor as Bond, so Im glad ol' Irish Pierce is back on for another run....

Clive Owen wasn't in "Closer" !!!! You meant Jude Law ???

Can't stand Jude Law.
He's a namby pamby over-rated cherub who looks like an ex-boy band member after too many martinis and cocaine.

I heard they're going with less special effects and more story/plot with Casino Royale - let's hope so...

I'm going to wait until the "official" announcement from EON Productions - I don't know what insight Judi Dench has in the behind-the-scenes action...

she's DAME Judi Dench.

i'm also sure of the fact since she's been a hella star for about six decades now in the U.K. she might have a few friends in the entertainment business.

just maybe.

Honestly, Hugh Jackman would make the best Bond. He has the character, size, talent and look to do it. He is also from the Commonwealth, which is a plus.

I wonder if "The Look Of Love" will be the movie theme like the 1st one, sung by Dusty Springfield (1967)!!!

How about Kylie Minogue singing it??
