This state is starting to remind me of John Kerry's flip flopping...

Teach evolution in science classes in schools. You want to teach creationism-do in your church, or you Sunday School classes. It isn't a scientific view, it should not be in science classes.

It's getting tiring hearing these right-wing nuts pushing their views down everyone else's throats.

This whole "teach both sides" argument is bullshit - do they teach both sides of astronomy, the real side and the religious "the Sun and stars revolve around the Earth" side ? No they don't. There is no "other" side here - creationism and "intelligent design" is an absolute crock with NO VALID SCIENTIFIC BASIS WHATSOEVER !! It has about as much place in a science class as the theory that the Earth is flat.

Exactly, where in the Bible does the scientific process exist? Mixing theology with science is like combining sex ed with drivers ed. The topics need to be taught separately.

Plus for the religiously inclined, teaching the FACT of evolution in no way means that if you believe in God, you can't believe that God as you understand it started it all. Of course that belongs in a metaphysics bull session - not in a classroom. Even the Catholic church recognizes the fact of evolution. I don't think that makes the Pope a secular humanist.

Grow up fundies!

I may be ugly. I may be an American. But don't call me an ugly American.
