Anyone else see in the news that a Tornado struck near Preston the other day? Did Alex get caught in it?

You mean his hair is on purpose ? Oh wow, I thought it was some kind of industrial accident (like Pe@rson's).

Phew, just got back, what a ride. Never fear, I'm still hear!

The tornado hit a place about 5 miles from me called Hoghton, it's near where the M6, M61 and M65 all converge. Sadly, I never saw this thing, would have been fairly cool although the fact it could have messed up my hair does concern me, dumbass.  Wink

Dude, I'm glad you're OK. I've been up close and personal with one tornado and nearly hit by several others. It's no fun! Enjoy the good weather after the storm...  Big grin

lol what your seeing there is the Vortex of the Tornado "imprinted" on the ground, if you look closely you can see the grass is going "around" in a circle which was 3meters big, this is how big the actual funnel was on contact with the ground.

I remember going to Morcambe on a rail tour several years ago.. Borded the train at Scunthorpe, thinking.. wey hey! were off to Morcambe!

Got there, and i thought we had arrived at some kind of a ghost town with chav-galore.. even a burnt out fiesta on the beach.. or sand-area as its better know..

I certainly wouldnt go back in a hurry.. might checkout Blackpool this summer... lol

Closed 2001, now only the Log Flume and Polo tower remain. And a couple of the bars.

The only people here on holiday now are either pensioners, or DSS scroungers staying in the B&Bs.
