keep telling yourself that. i got a ticket and they didn't even gun me. they got the guy that passed me and pulled me over. i was the one going slow because I knew about the speed trap!
I've had no traffic tickets, but I recieved a $120 fine for "wrecklessly" driving a See-Do on 4th of July 2 years ago. My case was sort of like TPSAX... went out of my way to be safe and it ended up getting me busted. Screw you Lake Texoma police...

I've only received one ticket in 30 years of driving for doing the "California Roll" at a stop sign at a known ticket trap just outside Beverly Hills.
I posted bail via the mail, showed up at the hearing, and the judge called out every case to see if the issuing officer was in attendance. When my name was called, the sheriff's deputy was nowhere to be found, so I heard the words "Case Dismissed" from the judge, and the bailiff said I was free to go.
While I was walking to the elevators, I saw the deputy coming out of the elevator about 5 minutes too late, bid him a good morning, and left. Since the court failed to repay my bail within the alloted time, I got to claim interest!

Speaking of which...I went to Lake Geneva, WI last summer with my gf and 2 of my buddies (All of us Europeans with hatred to american cops except my gf) Anyways long story short, I was *by luck* away from them 3 and the 2 chicks about 30 in a cop boat pulled my gf and one of my friend over for evading the police in a jetski...(they said they sounded the siren, and my gf and my friend were going side by side and the police boat was in back so they couldnt have seen them) and my other friend got ticketed on the dock. Wisconsin cops are so moronically stupid. How the hell do you run away from the cops on a rented jetski, on a lake, when your credit card and license is back at the rental shop..what are they insane? all 3 of them also got tickets for being too close. so 2x$180 and 1x$90. I didnt get one but I got pissed off, stupid aholes made a girl cry, booked them for absolutely nothing and said they didnt do it for a quota. My friend whos from London, started yelling at those 2 stupid woman like it was WW3. Funny thing is, if you couldnt come up with the money on the spot you went to jail. Let it be known in writing that as a former wisconsin citizen, I hate the state, I passionately HATE Wisconsin, and everything that is even remotely tied to their piece of crap ahole police/dnr etc. All they do is hunt on people from Illinois...bastards.
I got about 7-8 tickets in 4 years of driving. I went to driving school for the ones that were actual violations that could have been points on my license. Hence I did about 46 hours of traffic school. I got caught by camera once in Chicago in my Blazer, however that doesnt go on any license cuz it goes to the city revenue.
Apart from that a couple speeding tickets, and a reckless driving one.

OH, you're supposed to STOP at those things?????
I've received 4 parking tickets, 1 speeding ticket, 1 warning, and 1 ticket after getting in a wreck.

Greg, you pansy..
I have 2 tickets in the past 8 months. I cant get another one till october or I have major points on my license...I try to take it slow so I only speed 39mph or under because as of Jan. 1st 2005 in Illinois if you speed over 40mph you going to jail baby.
Still rather go to jail than spend $2500 or some lunatic amount that the wisconsin cops would charge for that kind of ticket. Hell a 1-20mph ticket in Wisconsin is 1.5x of Illinois 21-39mph ticket.

Ha! I suppose so! The reason I fought the ticket was the deputy had me going 25MPH through the stop sign, but the way the corner is arranged, I would have had the car on two wheels to do that. He'd also written down the description of the car incorrectly, had it as a 4-door instead of a 2-door.
A colleague of mine at the time who used to be a paralegal said I should go to court and claim the ticket was "defective on its face" (whatever that means in legal terms), and ask the judge if he believed I could take that well-known corner at the speed on the ticket, and I'd win without much ado.

so far, since January 1, 2005, i have had about 7 tickets this year. but none of them have counted for a damn. here's why.
in Missouri, they do things different. and it really works to your benefit if you have an out of state driver's license. here, if you get a ticket, they don't send you to court supervision, or anything like that, instead they just slap a fine on you, and if you live in Missouri, you get some point system type thing going.
however, as most government entities are, why fine someone $80 when you can get more money (~$30 or so) out of them, the court costs out of them, and in turn, your "80 in a 35" turns into a "parked 2 days at a 2 hour max. meter," let the stupid points/state notification thing slide to create less hassle and work for their employees?
so around here, those Traffic Law Center-type businesses thrive with business as yuppie wanna be real lawyers strike deals right and left with city goverments for them to stay in business and get the lowest service costs out to their clients.
so every year or so i pay one of these cute, corner businesses about a $1,000 up front to take care of all my police needs for the year....and then after that, traffic laws just don't apply to me.
Eternal darkness we all should dread. It's hard to party when you're dead.
