Description Of USA Gangs

I must develop report of gangs of countries, have tried yahoo/google search of USA gangs named krypts and named bloods, but no data. No data in search engines. Any assistance thanked.

What ar the krypts, and what ar the bloods?
What do they do and exist for? For how long?
And the differences between them two and of other gangs.

Try googling: "crypts and bloods LA gangs"

you'll find a lot there.

Answers.com gives a pretty good but very basic description of the major US gangs. However, there are so many subgroups and variations that you can't completely cover everything about them. Changes happen all the time and keep the police officers who monitor the gangs busy full time. Just for example, NYC has something like 100 organized gangs, some of which are affiliates of the Bloods or Crips and others that are not. Each group has its own distinct traits and gestures which might look like those of rival gangs but carry different meaning. There are entire college courses and professional courses that cover this type of stuff and even the best of those are often topical at best.

Bloods and Crips are two black gangs that originated here and have gained a national following. Often these two gangs have rivalries with each other as well as Hispanic gangs.

The larger gang is separeted into smaller "cells" called cliques. Each clique usually has its own name and gang sign.

MS-13 is also growing rapidly and might be close to the Latin Kings in size.

Bloods- Former La street gang known as the brims they were made in the 70s to protect their street from other street gang known as the crips.

Latin kings- HIspanic gang

Colors- Bloods- red,black,pink
crips- blue, white
latin kings- yellow
hatian mob- black,red part of the bloods

Each gang breaks down into " sets" so if you were a crip living in Nyc but you lived in the bronx you are in a diffrent set from a crip living in queens

Then there is sub divisions of the gangs like kitchen crip and death soldiar for the bloods hoover crip etc...

Their are also thousands of local gangs that claim an affiliation with a larger gang. Hell, we even had a redneck gang called "The Lake Placid Mafia" a few years ago. They were tough though!
