He undoubtedly committed an exceedingly grave offence. What am I talking about? He undoubtedly committed an exceedingly normal act which one would totally expect on an Internet forum.

Means he's got an a.net criminal record then - just like you Pe@rson. And at your young ages - you should be ashamed of yourselves

Oh shit! Krikie has really been banned (by whom: KROC ?)? Now, anet will be boaring.. glad at least you are back, Pe@rson - I really missed you!! Don't dare to stay away that long again
Quoting Pe@rson (Reply 16): That is OK, for freedom of speech does not appear to apply here.
I mean Freedom of Speech is relative to the mod.,. most of them are cool and chilled out and do a cool job, but I have witnessed one of them permitting 'too much freedom of speech', i.e. permitting racist posts... that shocked me

Maybe he got banned for using an erroneous flag for his "from" part. Who knows, British peeps'll be saying they're from Bosnia and Herzegovina next, or maybe Christmas Island...

Quoting Andz (Reply 18): scotch is only used to describe that which can be eaten or drunk
Or in France, for some reason, sellotape.
Quoting Myt332 (Reply 20): Alex, tell Andreas and JGPH1A I actually love them and the 30 days away from them will be torture for me! Now where's dolly gone?
Euww. Tell Graham from me that it is completely NOT mutual.
So are we any nearer an answer to the mystery wrapped in an enigma as to why Kirkie was hurled into outer darkness ? Did the Costa Rican Inquisition issue a Papal Bull of Excommunication over his assertion that he was bigger than God ? Have ASBO's been extended to cover internet fora (we can but hope ! In which case, we'll never hear his melodic mis-spelled bollocks ever again ).
My guess is that Management decided this forum was reserved for humans only, and sadly Kirkie failed the DNA test.
The name 'Balkan' is, in fact, not nice when you understand its meaning: 'Bal' means honey, or sweet in Turkish, and 'kan' means blood. So the sweetness of the land and people, and the blood spilt to control it. BiH and the people thereof (Serbs, Bosniaks (Muslims) and Croats) have actually lived very well together, but throughout history outsiders have come to control the land and insist that they could not possibly live well together.
It was very good, thanks. BiH is an extremely beautiful and green country - it has large mountains covered in large evergreen trees, all completely, or virtually, unspoilt. Then there are the amazingly nice towns and villages, lakes, rivers, national parks and areas...
Anyway, I visited, on my wee trip, Sarajevo, Mostar, Blagaj, Medugorje and Srebrenica. Cannot wait to return. Will certainly hire a car next time to easily visit the less accessible (by local transport) villages, national parks, mountains, lakes, etc.

Sounds like you're quoting straight out of the Rough Guide

Welcome back Pe@rson. With Kirkie out of the picture for a while we need someone to make fun of

Did you go on a sightseeing jolly, Pe@rson? Right in exam season?
*makes mental note to try to avoid using "Balkan"*
Re. the Welsh flag option, I'm the opposite of you, in that I'm Welsh but currently living in England. (Bah.) ...Wait a minute, aren't you from the land of custard?

Paraphased from a different guidebook. Read a lot about its history. While I do not yet have it, I want to get 'The Death of Yugoslavia.' According to a friend it's extremely interesting.
Quoting RedDragon (Reply 28): Did you go on a sightseeing jolly, Pe@rson? Right in exam season?
Don't have exams. I will be a Dr. in two years (if I do not decide to finish and do something else).

I'll bet he got banned for posting an inappropriate picture spoofing McDonalds burgers. It definitely crossed a line, but it was funny, though.

25 Cornish: Very good book indeed - the series was good too. I read up and studied the region a lot too - particularly as I was living next door in Hungary while
26 RedDragon: Don't have exams. I won't be a Dr. in two years (as I'm not clever enough unfortunately)! Ahhh, custard... mmmmm! Still, I think I'd prefer to hail f
27 JGPH1A: Hardly surprising - he is after all, emminently forgettable ! (Come back Kirkie, we ermm tolerate you a bit, in small doses)
28 Pe@rson: The town per se had nothing of much interest, bar a church and a mosque, but the memorial and cemetary was extremely peaceful and beautiful and an id
30 Cornish: Eeeww - are you sure you'd even want a small dose of the Gkirk virus? - it's been mutating in the Dem Rep of Congo recently remember
31 JGPH1A: They say love and hate are two sides of the same coin. In Kirkie's case, it only applies if the coin looks like this one from Yap... ...and is droppe
32 Cornish: hmm I can see it now - Dr Pe@rson, I'd like a Regular Coke with my bigMac meal
33 JGPH1A: Pe@rson doesn't care. He only wants the "Dr." title so he can say to naive females "Trust me, I'm a doctor".
34 Pe@rson: As Dr. Pe@rson tells Cornish, our newest recruit, how to cook a burger.
35 Cornish: Ha. I employ a chef to do that for me You must remember Pe@rson, you can't make a career out of being a student forever (despite your best efforts)
36 Pe@rson: When I am Britain's most respected man for improving the criminal justice system, and when I'm Professor Sir J.P., we'll see who's laughing.
37 JGPH1A: We will follow your career with interest, Home Secretary Sir JP QC, Bart, MBE, KOTB, LP, DVD, A/C, MOT, FSH, only 20000km etc etc
38 Cornish: So will you be defending Kirkie during his a.net appeal then
39 Cornish: FSH - Hmm are you sure anyone would want to know exactly where he's been and what he's done?
40 JGPH1A: I wouldn't worry. Despite all James' bluster, I suspect he's still One Careful Owner, Only Driven On Sundays
41 Cornish: You mean somebody actually owns him ?? (I've heard tell of these kinky arrangements ) Well no wonder they want to sell
42 Mrniji: Could you please repost it so we have an idea what you are talking about?
43 JGPH1A: "Heard tell" ? HAH ! No doubt a "friend" told you about them. We know !!
44 Logan22L: Let's convince Johan to allow use of the Scottish flag in A.net profiles only for the 30 days that Kirkie is in the cooler. Logan
45 Skidmarks: Now your talking Logan!!!!!!! God, you have a nasty mean streak in you!! Andy
46 JGPH1A: Hehe - so mean, I love it ! Furthermore, we should ALL update our profiles with the temporary Scottish flag.
47 DIJKKIJK: say, Kirkie seems to have taken on a new life ! http://bondage.com/u/gkirk/user.html 43! so the young rascal was a git eh?
48 LHMARK: AThat's not Gkirk! It's Ricky Gervais from "The Office!"
49 Banco: Easily the best idea I've heard on here in months! Preferably with a note denoting the Independent Republic of Scotland next to it.
50 Cornish: Perhaps those who are first class members could have that logo in the top right corner modified temporarily into an SNP one
51 GVBIG: You lot are pretty nasty to this GKirk fellow aren't you? Why?
52 DIJKKIJK: no, everyone loves him. These are just terms of endearment!
53 JGPH1A: Oh. A (relative) newbie. Wait till Kirkie gets back, then you'll see for yourself... Kirkie is someone with rich and rewarding slagging possiblities,
54 GVBIG: Shocking....I've seen some of his posts. He seems to really like winding people up, especially you. He must have done something very bad to get a len
55 Banco: Indeed so. No-one thinks more highly of him than I do, and I think he's ASBO boy.
56 JGPH1A: Whatever it was, the ban was RICHLY DESERVED and a long time in coming. Kirkie is Evil, and must be Destroyed. Words to live by. So do Glasgow Social
58 Cornish: Being Scottish is an unfortunate affliction and yes it is indeed sad that they picked on him for this and subsequently banned him Come back soon Kirk
59 Cornish: Yep - they just need to stamp out Ebola and the other nasty viruses and all will be well in the world
60 GVBIG: I was informed in the chat room, that a certain german might be loving the fact that GKirk is banned? Called Andros or Andrea or something like that?
61 Logan22L: Andreas is no doubt wearing a black arm band out of respect and proclaiming "Solidarity for Kirkie!" Logan
62 Banco: Although he's probably struggling with certain syllables in that phrase. It's not easy to speak when you have a grin that wide...
63 Logan22L: God, that's bigger than the government teat that Kirkie's been sucking on for so many years! Logan
64 Nighthawk: I just spoke to GKirk, and he was banned for posting a naughty picture, summit to do with Burgers. I think we should all change our flags to the scott
70 Logan22L: Correct. Well, at least the first two are correct. I referred to Pe@rson's crude and juvenile post and my post was also rightfully deleted. Sabena wa
71 Myt332: He was indeed, he's a good guy. I could have sworn he liked his drink though.
72 RedDragon: Pe@rson made a crude and juvenile post? Pe@rson makes posts that aren't crude and juvenile? [Edited 2005-05-18 19:51:29]
73 Pe@rson: LOL. It's called fun - you know, that word which begins with f. Oh, I forgot: you're American.
74 Logan22L: Yeah, but I live in BOS, where we have other things to do than watch NASCAR, hunt, or force our religion on others. Logan
75 Myt332: Try English fun then. Beer is a good thing.
76 Greyhound: I've got an idea Logan... how about spending several billion dollars on a really big dig that goes way over budget? Hmm... I think that idea is allre
77 Logan22L: You know what, Greyhound? That project did absolutely nothing to alleviate traffic problems here in Boston. It is slightly easier getting to/from BOS
78 Srbmod: I've got the candles out for the vigil: Who's ready to start singing "Kumbaya"?
79 Greyhound: I went through when it was under construction... I didn't see how they intended it to RELIEVE traffic problems, but then again, I don't live there.
81 WunalaYann: Wait. I'm dumb-struck to see that no one has yet jumped on this point. I'm positive there are many other beer-drinking nations that would argue THEIR
82 Monteycarlos: Alright all I need say is that if anyone can take 10 beers and a couple of scotch's down in 3 hours, and then sit through Star Wars III without going
84 JGPH1A: Sorry to shatter your hopes, but it's only a 30 day ban. I know, I was gutted too - perhaps we can appeal to get it extended indefinitely
85 Logan22L: Personally, I prefer bashing him knowing he has the ability to toss back a slurred, unemployed-drinking-binge-provided-someone-else-is-buying misspel
86 Myt332: Ten light beers and a scotch egg, oooh sounds great!
87 JGPH1A: Oh I don't know - slagging him senseless while he can't respond has it's appeal. I know I'm enjoying it !
88 Logan22L: True enough, JG. But I'm looking forward to a little healthy dialogue with the cheeky bugger. Plus, he always laughs at the frog picture. Logan
89 JGPH1A: (coldly, a la Lady Bracknell) No doubt. Grrrr. Do think 60 days is too much to ask for ?
90 Wunala: Sorry I thought this tread was deleted, as I has an e mail from the "mod". I was reply 3, but not any more. Maybe someone in the mod police can explai
91 Monteycarlos: Obviously haven't visited Australia... and what the hell is light beer? LOL... these things happen!
