A sad thing happened..

I just saw a movie in the PVR Cinemas and immediately after the movie (in which I eveb had a small role as PoW during its shooting in Berlin   - Netaji Subhash Chander Bose, the forgotten hero), the building was evacuated -as I asked why, the guy told me it is precautionary and "watch the news".. Now, I just read in the net that there has been a bombing in another theatre in Delhi, killing one and injuring many others

The theatre showed a movie which was seen as offence by some members of teh Sikh community - but note: nothing has been proven yet!

It is sad that this happened. And I hope that no concurring violence will occur. India has proven to be a diverse country (unity in diversity), and 99,999999 % of the people definitely disagree with what happened..

On a sidenote: I was actually supposed to go to that cinema (and changed in teh last minute to another theatre due to certain circumstances) this very evening and have tickets for tomorrow for the cinema which has been atyacked .. you can imagine that there must be some thing that saved me.. I am a little relieved, but more sad with what happened..

I had the impression that Sikhs were a peaceful bunch. Nonetheless, I remember that Indira Gandhi's bodyguards killed her and now this. Are they really peaceful?

ANCFlyer, this is very kind of you to ask! Thanks, I appreciate and have taken notice.. well, I hope that nothing has happened.. Delhi itself has 15 million people, so I think it is unlikely (considering that the bombings were in teh North), and my friends and mfamily are rather based in the South - but there is always a probability that someone was there.. so I need to hope that I don't get bad news.. I already called friendz, all are fine thus far.. immediately after the bombing (which I was still not aware of), I received a ton of phonecalls on my cell from people who knew I was going to the movie and were afraid I could have been in one of teh theatres

Ihis is about the third time something saved me of my family

- my mom was booked on the UA flight JFK-SFO on 9/11 but had to postpone
- I escaped the Tsunami by one hour
- now this

man, these attacks can't be justified, it is crazy

Will keep you updated

In an attempt at humor at an obvious trying time in your life . . . referencing your notes above . .

Come to Alaska. . .

We only have earthquakes, blizzards, avalanches . . . . surely better luck  Smile

My friend, no matter what your belief, faith, political affiliation, there is NO terrorist attack that is justified . . .ever, period, never . . .

I'm glad you, and your family are safe.
