Hi there,

can anybody tell me if QF Headquarter in Mascot is shown on the pic (Coward St)?

Not quite - it would be just off to the left of the jet base. It is Qantas Centre, 207 Coward Street (across the street from the Holiday Inn).

Aaah, thanks a lot - so it seems you have been there already. Can you tell me how to get there from domestic terminal? I hate to drive such short trips by taxi because they could kill me when they are waiting 2 hrs in a lane and have 2 mins. ride.

Ooooops, sorry, I just checked your profile. Ok, you were working for QF for 18 months. hehe

That could be a problem really. Unless you want to walk (I'm kidding btw) you will have to take a cab to QFHQ. Alternatively you could make your way over to the Qantas domestic terminal on the departures level on the far end of the building, and pose as a QF employee to catch one of the QF mini busses that runs a shuttle service for staff to and from the domestic airport/jetbase to QFHQ.

I'm kidding btw.

Catch a cab, the traffic won't be that bad because you're not going through the city, just sticking to the south side.

It is less than 100m from the CityRail station for Mascot - one stop along from the Airport Domestic station, heading into town. If you get off at Mascot, go all the way up the escalators, at the station exit turn left and walk up the street to the traffic light (it's slightly uphill). Qantas Centre is just across the intersection, its 3 big grey buildings with a big red QANTAS sign on the top, can't miss it.

May I ask, NumberTwelve, why you are heading off to QFHQ?

Sorry, Qf4ever, we're negotiating with new contracts and both companies want to keep it secret (is written in agreement too).
But we hope to announce it mid of 2006.

Ah okay - didn't realise it was business. Say no more. Enjoy your time at HQ - if it's management you're dealing with it will probably be the third and smallest building in the complex. I worked there very briefly a few years ago - nice spot - plenty of aircraft action to behold from the western side of the building.

I just checked the address, QF, it's building A. The number behind the letter seems to be floor then.
Hopefully the conference rooms don't have windows, otherwise i couldn't concentrate all the time and stand up for photo shots.

This is true. QCA3 would be the third floor in Qantas Centre Building A.
I know QCB is the one in the middle (I used to work on QCB7), but I forget which is A and which is C. They are marked clearly though.

Nah don't worry about QF HQ...

Take a taxi to George St, walk up George St from around Sydney central stopping at every bar you find... by the time you hit the rocks you should be pretty hammered... then there are plenty of other pubs to continue on to around the rocks!

We are talking about business aren't we?

Nah, don't worry about business... there are more important things such as sampling the local product.
