I count 4 threads in Non-Av. This one makes 5.

So Mike, I guess that makes you 20 percent of the problem.

I figured that after so many threads about how good or bad it is, or how Neocon prefers what and all that Sh*t, why not one officialy bashing the subject.

I wonder if the "Syria Cuts Ties With the US..." thread might be related to Star Wars as well. I mean look at the timing.

Hopefully way fewer than the prez election. I vote let's stick with 5, and if you want to lock out, oh I don't know, 5, it would be fine by me.

Dude, if you don't like Star Wars, then just ignore all the Star Wars thread...it's that simple. Geez...you don't have to start another thread for that!

Sorry, I agree with AR1300. How many pimple faced 13 year olds do we really need cluttering up A.net with escapist fantasies about a freakin movie! Just grow up and become bitter old farts like the rest of us!  grumpy   silly

I seem to recall that I posted a similar thread complaining about how many threads were devoted to the illness-demise-funeral-aftermath, of the Pope. The thread was deleted.

Simple answer, if you don't like the thread, you could always not read it! There is a choice involved!

I think you'll find that said teenagers clutter up A.Net with escapist fantasies about any subject on the planet- it is not limited to Star Wars!

You could all just watch this if you don't like Star Wars that much. Don't ask me how I found out about that flash animation, though.

As a side note, this is my 747th post. Just thought it was important considering the significance of the 747...  wink

I think star wars was a great depiction of Capitalism vs. Communism. The whole USSR vs. US cold war battle. It will always be a historic piece of film or perhaps propaganda for capitalist America. THE GREAT SPACE RACE.

It is interesting to note that many science fiction films of the time focused on the same underlying themes.
