I found a new hobby at the beach. Instead of just staring at the hot guys, I go up and strike a conversation. But here's my question. Do guys like when the girl makes the first move? Or would you rather have you start the convo?

definately. I am kind of shy, and when I approach a girl, I am not sure if she thinks I am cute or hot(which I am ). If the girl makes the move, I am sure she atleast likes my looks. So I say definately Good luck. I wish I lived near a beach so I could approach some hot girls
Give me a break, I created this username when I was a kid...

F**K no theres nothing wrong with that, that saves us (me anyway) a whole hell of alot of nervous anticipation and wondering whether or not im gonna get totally shot down or not.
Problem with us guys in general is that our taste in women is pretty similar, if a girl is hot, shes hot! But i've found that some girls can think a guy is "hot", but then others think that same guy is "creepy" looking...
Reason that fucks us guys up, is that we approach a girl, we have no clue if she finds us attractive or not (well, within reason!) so if the girl approaches us, problem solved!!!!

I could never bring myself to start talking to a girl, so im hoping some hot one will put the move on me one day.....however thats very unlikely. What really pisses me of is my sisters friends yelling shit like "your hot!" to me. Damn females.

For me, the girl MUST make the first move, or at least give some subtle signal of encouragement.
Personally, I would like to see the girl/women make eye contact with me a few times first. At least that way, I won't be caught off-gaurd if she comes over to start talking with me. But, guys who aren't quite as shy as me might not mind a more forward approach.

Good for you. It takes a lot of courage for a girl your age to do that, it's not easy being 15. Personally, I like it when girls come up and talk to me and my friends at the beach (we're all 20/M), because most of them are too shy to approach us, so they just drive by looking at us or sometimes shout "hey baby", which I also appreciate.
