We got the California Super Lotto Plus, I know elsewhere in the US there is something called Powerball.
I've never tried it. I just figured the statistical probablility was way too high that I would loose my dollar, then there are those that pay for 10 tickets each wednesday and saturday before the lottery.
I wanna try, but if it involves random numbers I'll fail cuz I got this deal with patterns and I can't be random at will.
Experiences? The chance at winning is tempting to say the least.

The Jackpot in the German lottery today is 24 million €.
Perhaps I´ll make a try today. I know that statistical I`ll rather be struck by lightning than that I`ll win the jackpot.

I won (a whoppin' $3) the first time I played Powerball... be rather hooked ever since. Never buy more than a single ticket though. Very rarely play state/local Lotto.
Oh, and just in case anyone's curious.... tonight's Powerball drawing is for $180,000,000

Quoting ArmitageShanks (Reply 4): I don't do the pick a number ones, but I do the scratch off tickets all the time. I've made quite a bit of money off them.
So there are different kinds, how many are there? Are the winnings significant, uh that's vague, I mean "I'd be in it for something more than a few bucks"
Someone at work last year asked what would I do if I won a million dollars, I said I'd get a milion more lottery tickets for the bigger one, I gotta get something outta that.

Never played it yet.
I object to part of my money being used for "good causes" such as Lesbian tofu vest knitting workshops in Islington, and the rest going towards making some chav a millionaire and Burberry's profits even higher.

Alaska doesn't have a lottery, but we do have pull tabs, which are like scratchers but without the scratching and much lower prizes. (top prize is usually $500) And you have to play them in pull tab parlors. I've never played pull tabs either.
