A vs. B...Coke vs. Pepsi....and now KFC vs. Popeye's.
Which do you prefer and why?
Seeing that Popeye's was started down here in New Orleans and that it's pretty much a local intstitution, I've always liked it more than KFC. You just can't beat that spicy chicken. I don't eat it too much anymore, but when I do, man oh man, good stuff. Also Popeye's has killer side dishes including excellent Red Beans and Rice. And better biscuits in my opinion.

I never even heard of Popeye's until they opened up in Broomall (city near Philadelphia) and I can't say I have ever eaten there. But, I love KFC's Popcorn chicken and their mac and cheese (one artery is partially clogged every time you eat some).

One thing that really has turned me off to KFC is their main restaurant where I live. It's the more ineptly run fast-food place I've ever seen, and that's saying a lot when it comes to fast food places.
I went there once, and they told me it would be a 15-minute wait in the carry-out line-BECAUSE THEY HAD NO CHICKEN DOWN!!!
Well, 20 minutes later, I go to pay for it, and they say it will be ANOTHER 15 minutes, because THEY FORGOT TO PUT DOWN THE POTATO WEDGES IN THE OVEN! I told them give me the damn chicken, and I left, and haven't been back since.

KFC! their Zinger Supreme is the best thing out there. KFC opened in Qatar back in the 70s, and it is one of the most sucessful fast food resturants here. I love their Twister & the cheese chicken popcorn as well.

Come visit Arby's here in Doha - 35 minutes to prepare 6 sandwhiches! They told us to park the car because we were blocking the way for other customers trying to get through the "Drive Thru". What the hell is the point of a freaking drive thru if your going to make everyone park and wait? I haven't been there again since.

They both have their advantages. Popeyes has better fried chicken, chicken strips and biscuits, KFC has amazing wedges, pot pies, wings, double chocolate chip cake, and SANDWICHES (I love the twister).
Anybody know if KFC has a menu online? I can't seem to find it on their site.

Both are good...don't eat often because it is not healthy. One thing I LOVE about KFC is their mac and cheese. And of course Popeyes has those to die for red beans abd rice. I think KFC beats Popeyes in terms of popularity because there are more KFC restaurants than Popeyes....ie what kaz mentioned, no Popeyes in the UK. I will say that I am not sure on that, and I'm sure someone will find a number to prove me wrong!

Of the two, Popeye's hands down. Better chicken, better side dishes, and unlike most KFCs these days, their resturants aren't a combo with another chain in their group (KFC/A&W, KFC/Pizza Hut, KFC/Taco Bell, KFC/Long John Silvers, etc.).
Church's has very good chicken, as does Mrs. Winner's.
But when it comes to going out and picking up some fried chicken, I actually like fried chicken fresh from the deli at Publix. You just call ahead to find out if they're cooking any fresh and go down there. Of the grocery store delis, their chicken is the best.
