I'm putting my money on San Antonio in 6.

Very well said Capt. I have slightly more interest in the NBA Finals than I would have had watching the Hockey Finals...in June no less. Finally, more baseball in T.V. and no more NBA Playoff games Fing up Law and Order on TNT.

If it "should have been Miami" then Miami SHOULD HAVE won the game and not lost to D-Town.

i know, i know. it's just so irritating when your favorite team makes it that far and then screws up. oh well, it was fun to watch (painful too.)

i'm gonna say san antonio then.

Too bad, Captoveur. I am going to the game on Thursday. Cost me a cool $400, but hey, Timmy Duncan and gang are worth it.

I bet seeing Eva Longoria will be worth it, too.  Wink

SA in six, Larry Brown losing to his former assistant Greg Poppovich.

To add, all of the games are on ABC, so I give the over/under on the number of times the camera cuts to Longoria touting "the star of Desperate Housewives, only on ABC" to, I don't know, a million.

I agree... of course I'm a Suns fan too. But now it's back to the games that end up 85-82 instead of something like 110-105. Too little offense. Great thing that both teams in the finals can play defense. But that amounts to a boring a$$ game. Even though the Suns lost... I was still glad to see high scoring games.

Your point? With the rampant steroid use, I figure baseball would be right up your alley.

I wish they were showing the Finals on TBS. That way they wouldnt have to show the Braves for another 2 or 3 weeks.

Watching the Braves play this year is like poking myself with needles in the arm. They are painfull to watch. And Chipper gets hurt EVERY year.

Not looking too good. Maybe they will turn it around. Maybe not.

Oh, and I was so busy talking about baseball I forgot what the thread was about.

That's mostly a guess, as I'm part of the crowd that hopes it's over sooner, rather than later. If all goes well, the NBA will be locked out next year, and the NHL will still be up in the air....  stirthepot

Spurs in four.

And I'll say it - the NBA Championship was already decided - it was done during the Suns/Spurs series.

Playing the Eastern Conference champ is merely a formality.

ABC must be cursing themselves though - no one wants the Spurs/Pistons series. Everyone wanted Phoenix/Miami.

ROC already made the roid comment for me.. I normally don't stoop to such lows with you AA but making fun of baseball is just getting personal.

If I ever pay $400 for a ticket to ANY sporting event there better be at least a blow job included in the ticket price.

I hate the SBC center anyway. I am a tall, fairly skinny guy and my skinny ass hardly fits in the seats and my knees are wedged against the seat in front of me, pure misery to watch a sport any dimwit with a reasonable degree of coordination can play.

The only time I ever set foot in a Spurs game is when my girlfriend scores tickets in the Valero luxury box.. I can at least sit in a reasonable degree of comfort there.

Duncan better not win MVP again, there is more to the team than just him.
