I red in several places in the Internet today that the CIA chief Porter Goss "knows where bin Laden is". (CNN.com, www.aftonlbadet.se) According to the articles bin Ladin is hiding in a country where the US can't reach him, but of course he won't say what country it is.
However, this site has never been against speculations so let them begin!
What country is bin Laden hiding in?
First I thought North Korea, but eventhough that would be a good place to hide from the US I don't think it would be a good place if you want to practice religion. On the other hand a person who kills and tell others to kill innocent people in the name of God is not that religious.
Then of course, CIA might not have a clue where he is but says they do to put pressure on him and his men.

The german news magazine "Der Spiegel" interviewed the Pakistani President, General Musharraf, a few weeks ago. In this interview he stated that the "Tribal Areas" of Pakistan, which bordere Afghanistan and where OBL has at least been supected to have hidden in the past, have only be entered by Pakistani troops during the last year. He said, up to last year, there was no infrastructure (roads, telephone) and no government representation of the Pakistani government (police, army, administration) in these areas. I think it must be hard for a president to admit that there is an area in his country he doersn´t control.

He belongs to a very fundamentalist Sunni Muslim sect, which despices and persecutes Shia Muslims as heretics. There is no love left between Al Qaeda and the Iranian government and clerics. I is also quite likely that the bombings against the Shia population in Iraq have been committed by OBl´s boys, same as attacks on Shia mosques in Pakistan.
