This thread is for those who like me, love to travel and explore new destinations. Out of all the places you have been to which would you say is your favorite? It can be city or country.

In Latin America I would have to say Brazil! Love Rio for it's natural beauty and beautiful people!  hearts  Although I do have to say I really like Sao Paulo too!

In Europe I would have to say Italy. I really like Milan for it's active lifestyle, and Rome for it's old world charm. What can I say....great food and people who know how to live La dolce vita!

In Asia my god, there are so many!  hyper  I really liked Bali! Great beach, nightlife, culture, and people. And I am glad they are back on track after the attacks.

In Africa it would be South Africa. Although that could change after I hit Morocco and Tunisia. I loved Capetown for it's beautiful natural landscape, with table mountain and the Cape of good hope which was really cool to see.

There are so many places and those are my top destinations I have been to. What are yours?  cheerful

Where do I start???

Nth America - Toss up between SFO and Key West, both very friendly places, also both very reasonably cheap. Loved them both and can't wait to go back.

Sth America - Rio,Rio,Rio - What else can I say. I LOVE this city. Everything about it is gorgeous. The people, the sights, the food, the culture. I went there twice last year, and would happily go back there to live forever.....

Asia - HKG is my second most favourite city after Rio. Fantastic fusion of Eastern and Western cultures, wonderful food, lovely locals excellent sights, and at a price which is appealing to those travelling on British pounds!!!!! Xiang gang shi feichang hao!!!

Oceania - Australia of course. As an Aussie, I can recommend it for the people, the sights, weather, and the variety of culture between the major cities. SYD MEL BNE and CNS all have a natural beauty that gets under your skin and makes it stay with you for ever. I would also love to go to NZ on day, everyone I know who has been raves about it. (add to destination checklist)

Africa - Egypt, what else to say?? The place speaks for itself. Also love to go to Cape Town.

Europe - Rome definitely! Saturated in history and beautiful sights to see. And the food - Mmmmmmmmmmmm

Maui. Warm air, warm water. Clean air, clean water. Lots of little beaches you can just pull over and walk down a hill to, to find a dozen people there...I saw no large crowds any place I went there.

This picture was taken west of Maui on the south shore of Lana'i at the Manele Bay Hotel. What a beautiful place.

Egypt: Anywhere on the Red Sea or Meiterranean coast. Pyramids at Giza (last remaining wonder of the ancient world)... if there is only one place in your entire life that you're able to visit make it this. Staying at a hotel near the Pyramids and seeing them lit up at night as your drift asleep is awesome! Cairo is a VERY safe city... I'd expect most Americans to argue that point, but most Americans are ignorant.

Tunisia: Southern Tunisia is amazing! Sahara areas or Djerba ... etc...

Jordan: Dead Sea / Jordan River

Israel: Speaks for itself!

Malawi: You have to go there!

Travel is where we truly meet ourselves. We remember what we must in order to endure, says the philosopher Henri Bergson. That is why so much of commonplace existence is forgotten, while our journeys never are.

Great thread.

USA: San Francisco is a must. Everything there is whorty to see: people, places, cultuture. Don't limit yourself to the city, the whole Bay Area deserves your time. BTW: Once you're done with SF, why don't pay a visit to Sacramento? Granted, it's not a turistic place but we love to see tourists once in a while. It's the capital city of California!!

Mexico: Mexico city has everything to charm you up, including a great night life. You all know our beaches, but don't forget our ruins of ancient civilizations such as the Aztecs or the Mayas.

Europe: London by all means. Great people living in a great city. Barcelona is another great option you can't miss.

I'd like to be more specific about other places. I'll try to post more tonight.
