Hey Superfly!!!!!
What's up with your one line review of Sunday? Well, I guess now that I am back here in LA, I'll have to do it.

Sunday at 2PM, I pulled into the parking spot at SJC. I get out and see that only one other person is there-namely ILUV767.
We chatted for a few minutes. I showed him a bunch of my pictures. Then around 2:30, Superfly showed up. I was willing to bet that ILUV767 showed up, hoping to see a bull fight.

Well things didn't exactly go that way. The three of us hung out for a bit when out of the blue, FlyGGA showed up. So we had a little foursome gathering instead of a threesome.:D
It was a beautiful clear sunny day. And I was thirsty, and had to use the commode.
It turned out that there was a McDonalds down the street.

History was made as I invited Superfly to go for the ride with me. We got in, took off, and I BLASTED "Limelight" by Rush. Classic legend of guitar song. I'm sure that Superfly will agree with me on that one.
We tried pulling into the parking lot of Costco, which is how we get to "the Arches", and traffic was backed out into the street. Apparently, gas prices in the Silicon Valley area are highly exhorbitant. And this Costco I guess was selling gas at quite a discount, which drew every SUV for a 40 mile radius. If someone told me that every SUV within a 40 mile radius was in that lot, I would've believed it.
Finally, we took care of "business" and I got my 168 ounce mega Coke. I also slipped up and bought Superflys order too.

Darn....I hate it when that happens!  Big grin
So anyway, we went back to our spot. The four of us were gathered around, and we discussed various liveries, planes, topics on this board, and so on. He showed us his Cuba and Mexico pix. He took a nice cabin shot of an Il-62 that he was having problems getting posted. He also showed us a book he received about the "good old days" of air travel.....ahhh to see some of those stewardess uniforms today.

And then...there was the little cupcake.

We didn't know who she was, or what she was interested in. But there was this little lady....a total knockout....mid 20's...tall....yet petite...and the firmest, shapely looking posterior I've seen in a long time....standing at the fence with a camera taking pictures of the planes!!!

Well, Superfly and I took some pictures of HER (unbeknownst to her...telephoto lenses are great)...so one of us is going to have to post them. I suggested that Superfly introduce himself, and tell her about his "heavy".

He suggested I give her a fuselage plug. Big grin

And before either of us worked up the nerve, she sped off in her little BMW.

After awhile, FlyGGA and then ILUV767 took off, leaving just us. In between shooting pix of some planes, we talked about everything from girls behinds to 70's and '80's music to reel to reels, tape types, recording tecniques to cars and so on. As it turned out, he is also a fan of one of my favorite groups-namely "The Ocean Blue". I played him a rare song of theirs, which was never released other than on a promo LP. I think he dug it.

Finally, after about 7:30 I decided that it was time to make the trek back to Fresno. So I took him back to the CalTrain station, we parted ways, and I headed back.

Great day....we'll have to do that again sometime...and next time, we need more people...especially those that say they are coming...to be there.

AH, you beat me!
I didn't think you were going to be back until Thursday.
Oh well, you gave a very discriptive overview of the days events.
I had a great time and thanks for the lunch!
I agree that Alex Lifeson of RUSH is the best rock guitarist. The Ocean Blue was cool and they do have a signature sound.

As far as the girl taking pictures of the planes, I think she was spying on her rich boyfriend/husband. She seemed to be focusing on the private planes and she didn't look too happy about being down there.

It was great to hang out and talk airplanes, music, cars and other bs. No political flame wars either! Big grin

In the future, there needs to be a planned large gathering of some sort. It seems like the Bay Area has the most active spotters. I'd be curious about a LAX gathering.
That would be cool.  Smokin cool

No I said I go back to work on Thursday. I drove home from fresno last night.
If the little cupcake was spying, what kind of pix do you think she's going to get with that little Olympus she was holding?

If she WAS spying on her rich BF/Husband, then we could start a very long topic just on THAT....namely why would she go for someone like that, then be all paranoid, and have to resort to spying?

If she was miserable, then that either means that A) she didn't see what she was hoping to or B) saw exactly what she was fearing, in which case she's an idiot for being with someone like that.

If she was indeed a gold digging parasite (we all know that beautiful ladies that are full of themselves use their looks as currency anyway) then she must have been miserable because she DIDN'T see what she was hoping to....you know to build a case for cleaning out his coffers.

Sorry Zach....but Larry and I are only making some speculations on what she was up to. We DON'T know.

But the underlying message is be very careful in what women you select. I don't know about the rest of the country, but make no mistake about it: here in CA, what "quality" of woman you can get is directly proportionate to how much money you bring home. The women know this, most guys know this, and well, it's sort of a case of water seeking its own level.

Although there are some exceptions, AS A RULE, here in CA, the ladies are in many ways "gold diggers". They use their looks as currency, just like I said. The ones that are attractive know that they are attractive. They will go after the richest man their looks will get them. This is why in CA, you will almost NEVER see a "knockout" with a "poor man"(unless she likes big burly, sweaty truck drivers that will make her squeal like a stuck pig) and why you will never see a fat ugly scrag with a millionaire male. It just doesn't happen.

Unless your name is Superfly!  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

One good thing about living in a city whare almost half the men are gay.  Smile Beautiful women are easy to come by and as long as you can hold a conversation, they treat you like gold!

I am not exactly poor but by San Francisco I would be.  Sad

Well like I said, there are exceptions. And yes, based on your circumstances, that would stack the deck somewhat in your favor.

By the way if I may ask, and this is only a question, so please don't get into an uproar, but if half the SF male populace is gay, then what is the percentage of lesbian women up there? Is it high as well? If so, then wouldn't that more or less balance out the straight guys to ladies ratio to a more or less equal footing?

But you are a lucky SOB Larry!  Smile

Now maybe if I could just find someone who isn't a mental patient......or drawn to my checkbook.

Oh no that was a good question actually.
There really aren't that many 'true' lesbians here. Most women here who experament with other women are really bi-sexual. That is also a win win situation because they only want you for one thing and it ain't money .  Big grin
It's fun being a boy toy everyones in awhile.
In terms of the lesbian/bi-sexual female population, it is much smaller than the gay male population. The man-hater biker chick on the Harley is rare up here as they are anyware else.

It very well could've been, and her and Superfly worked it out in advance to be "strangers" to each other while I was around.  Big grin So who knows. I've done that trick before when I want someone to see someone else without that other person "knowing" that the "other" person was there....

If that makes any sense.

But if it was, all I can say is what a shame that such a beautiful woman is such a crabby bitch.

'Cuz the one we saw was a piece of art to be admired.

Let's hope that RealHigh kept her word and didn't show up.

I'm just busting your balls dude!

No Matt D, that was not RealHigh and I wouldn't play any stupid games like that. EGGD is some little brat in the UK with toooooooo much time on his hand.
He has more time on his hand than sperm from when he jacks off!  Laugh out loud
I just may have to squash the little turd next time I am in the UK. Big grin
EGGD is the only one here to my knowledge who disguises himself under different usernames.

Actually RealHigh is very glamorus and very exotic!
She posted her photo long ago in the 'Cutiest Airliners.net' thread.
