What kind of haircut do you get and how often do you get it cut? (example; buzz cut, high n tight, crew cut, bowl cut, mushroom cut, shaved....)
I usually get a 1 on the sides and keep the top medium short and typically gel it always. The only time I'll get my whole head shaved off is when im deployed since finding a good barber is really hard in foriegn countries. I'll normally get a cut within 3-4 weeks when my hair starts to get a bit shaggy on the sides.

Went completely bald back in January, and the hair on top, which hasn't been cut, is still only three inches long. I'm trying to keep it tight and slick it back on top, somewhat of a quasi-gothic biker look. Apparently though, I'm the only one who thinks a prematurely receeded hairline looks good with the hair slicked back.
As for my hair cut, I don't have my hair like I do in the pics...that was a big time fro and I dont know what I was thinking.....I get #2 on the sides and back and the top is scissor cut. My hair style is pretty simple...very slick, caesar style..

Scissor cut to about an inch every month or so. My hairdresser used to be really good and my hair still looks good after a cut but he's started doing this thing where he's cutting further and further into the edges of my hair at the front and it's getting ridiculous. It leaves me (at 17) looking as though I have receding hair line and gives a huge point in the middle of my forehead that runs inline with my nose. The idea is that it looks good when it's gelled up, and it does, but I'm at an all guys school and don't wanna get the gossips talking...

Quoting DeltaGuy (Reply 5): Usually same as you Kev, 1 or 2 on the sides, comb and scissors on the top, just enough so I don't have bedhead in the morning...a little gel, and it's good for at least 3 weeks
Exactly the way I use it!

I had been going for the shorn sheep look. #2 on the side and scissor it up top to match, with the hair being just long enough to part.
I did that for a few years and came to the conclusion that I didn't like it. So I am growing it back out. No clippers in my future, scissor cut all around to clean and trim it up. Which means 4-5 weeks between cuts max.

Don't get it professionally cut at school, which means after a few months of unrestricted growth my hair looks kinda wild, sometimes I trim it myself if I'm feeling adventurous ...when I come home I get it cut about every 2-3 weeks over the summer, and once over spring break and fall break...basically I have the lady that does it brush my hair straight over to the right and cut it kinda short, and use clippers on the back...no gel or any other crap like that in my hair, don't really like it...
